Songs from movies and musicals always hold a special place in the hearts of audiences everywhere. The first Music from Movies & Musicals (MMM) was performed in 1996, and proved to be a production that was popular with theatre goers who enjoyed songs from stage and the big screen. Now with a whole new crop of selections just waiting to be showcased – it’s time for MMM6!
Come on a journey with the Choir of The Philharmonic Society of Selangor, a non-auditioned community choir of over 100 singers, as we take you from the African plains, through exotic Bombay, and up the Frozen mountains.
Choir Director Cheryl Teh will be at the helm and backed by a live band led by Nish Tham, this musical adventure will present songs and medleys from The Lion King, Bombay Dreams, Frozen, Chicken Little, and Monty Python just to name a few!

ABOUT THE PHILHARMONIC SOCIETY OF SELANGOR
The Philharmonic Society of Selangor (est 1958) is one of the oldest and most established performing arts societies in Malaysia. As a community based Society, apart from promoting the love of music in the community, one of The Phil’s other main objectives is to contribute to charitable organisations within the community. Over the past half century, proceeds from productions have been donated to many charitable organisations around Malaysia.
The Choir, made up entirely of volunteers, is a regular community activity of the society and regularly performs at community and corporate events in addition to producing its own shows. A true community choir, anyone regardless of race, religion, age, gender or musical experience is welcomed to join.
