Yuriko Kotani is originally from Japan, decided to try performing comedy following her move to the UK. A lot of her comedy is based upon the difference between the country of her birth and her adopted nation of the UK. Yuriko’s set showcases the beauty of culture differences by addressing culture clash humorously. She demonstrates that comedy can reunite cultures to overcome their incompatibilities.
Yuriko was named as "One To Watch" by Time Out London in 2015. She went on to become first runner up in 'So You Think You Are Funny' in 2015, won Brighton Comedy Festival 'Squawker Award' 2015, won the BBC Radio New Comedy Award 2015.
