About Event

City of Light Sports Day is back this year with a 7 KM RUN and 5 KM FUN RUN. Since 2013, City of Light Sports Day has been growing strong and getting better every year. The objective of this run is to unite the community in Klang, to build relationships and to promote a healthy living. This run serves as a platform for friendships to be fostered where lives are empowered and changed. Due to lots of interest, this year we have added the most anticipating category which is the Veterans Category. So do join us and invite your friends for this exciting event!

Race Kit Collection

Collecting Your Own Race Pack

Documents Required:

1. Nric/Identification
2. Payment Slip/Confirmation Slip 

Collecting On Behalf Of Someone Else

Participants who are unable to collect their race packs on their own may appoint a representative on their behalf. To do so, the representative must present a signed letter of authorisation and the necessary documents.

Documents Required:

1. Photocopy Of Participant's Nric/Identification
2. Payment Slip/Confirmation Slip
3. Letter Of Authorisation
   

Reminder to participants: 

• Please bring along confirmation slip and your id-card or passport when redeem your race kit
• And for those collect on behalf/any relative/friend COMPULSORY to bring photocopy of id-card or passport together with confirmation slip from Ticket2u

Sponsor a Child

This sponsorship will be channel towards sponsoring a child who would like to be a part of this run but unable to pay for the fees. Many children from the orphanages home will be invited to be a part of this run.

Terms & Conditions

Race is open to all Malaysians and Foreigners with PR status only (Please produce your PR Card ID)

1. Participants must be 5 years old or older as of 31st December 2018 to participate in the Event.
   
2. Participants under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult or guardian above 18 years old.
3. Participants below the age of 18 are required to obtain parental/guardian consent and complete the relevant indemnity declaration form as deemed necessary by the Organizer upon registration, failing which, the Organizer reserves the right to refuse entry to that Participant.
4. Participants under 5 years old as of 31st December 2018 will not be allowed to participate in the Event. Registration for the kids under 12 years old shall be entered by the Participant’s legal parent/guardian and who must complete and submit the relevant indemnity declaration form upon registration. Failing which, the Organiser reserves the right to deny entry to any Participant.
   
5. No refund will be made for wrongful or multiple registration.
6. Transfer of participant is allowed.
7. Entries close on 14th May 2019 or upon reaching 500 participants.
8. Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken by the organizers to ensure the participants safety, participants run at their own risk and the organizers will not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death howsoever arising from training for or during participation in the race.
9. Participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and or consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual race Day.
10. The organizers reserve the right to delay the commencement of the race in the even of heavy rain or thunderstorm or extreme weather condition.
11. Should the heavy rain, thunderstorm or extreme weather condition persist after delay, the organizers reserve the right to cancel the race without any refund. In the event of heavy rain or thunderstorm or catastrophic or natural disaster resulting in postponement or cancellation of the above event, the organizers shall not be held responsible for any claims whatever in any form made by any individual or parties concerned.
12. The organizers reserve the right to remove any participant deemed physically incapable of continuing with the race to prevent him/her from causing greater harm and injury to him/her.
13. For the safety of participants, participants are advised to run on the designated route and observe traffic regulations.
    
14. Every runner will be provided with a race bib which will be individually handed to him/her on producing. The race bib must be worn on the front or back of the body and must be fully visible throughout the entire race.
15. The Organizer reserves the right to amend the Rules and Regulations without giving prior notification or any reasons thereof.
16. Participants must attach the assigned running bib to the front of his/her running shirt. The running bib must be visible on his/her chest at all times. Participants who do not wear his/her running bib will be taken off the race route by security officers, officials or route marshals, and shall be immediately disqualified.
17. If the Participant's original running bib cannot be found by the respective staff during Race Kit Collection, the Organizer reserves the right to replace it with a spare running bib. The Organizer reserves the right to amend or substitute any Participant’s running bib at any time without prior notice to the Participant.
18. Once registration has been duly processed, there will be strictly no refunds after payment is made, for any reason whatsoever. There will be strictly no refunds for Participants who do not eventually take part in the Event for whatever reason.
19. The Organizer reserves the right to use any photographs (including those of Participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of the Event (including any programme(s), event(s), talk(s), demonstration(s) or any other activities associated before, during or after the Event for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising, publicity purpose and distribution to Sponsors anywhere in the world.
20. The Organiser reserves the right to limit and/or refuse entry to the Event and/or other programme(s), event(s), talk(s), demonstration(s) or any other activities involving the Organiser and the Sponsors without giving any reason and/or notice.
21. The Organizer will not entertain nor be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete or inaccurate entry details in the registration form.
22. The Organizer will not be responsible for any loss and/or damage, personal or otherwise, to the belongings and items deposited at the Event baggage storage provided (if available) for the Participants. The Organizer also reserves the right to check any item or bag deposited for security purposes.
    
    The organizer and its agents will not be held responsible for any issues relating to parking at the venue.  Participants are advised to follow the instructions given by traffic personnel for proper parking.  The organizer and its agent will not be held responsible due to losses suffered in the event of break ins or vandalism to the vehicles of participants.  Proper vigilance must be exercised by all participants when parking their vehicles.
