Japanese Music Fest brings together local as well as Japanese musicians community based in Malaysia.
J-Music Fest 2016 - Band Profiles :
* Garuda
Hailing from Desa Sri Hartamas, Garuda is made up of four brothers who just want to get together and rock out to the music from the land of the rising sun! Founded in October 2014, Garuda consists of Afir on lead vocals and guitar, JJ on lead guitar, Hiro on backup vocal and bass guitar, and Mamoru on drums. The foursome were most recently featured in Multi Media University’s “Japanese Cultural Night” in Cyberjaya.
* UTTK+N
With the collective age of almost 200 years, the four greying members of UTTK+N are totally shameless of their shared love for classic Japanese rock and pop of the 1980s. Made up of Tono on vocals, Uno on guitar, Tsuru on drums and Koshi on bass, UTTK+N invites everyone to enjoy their nostalgic renditions of J-hits from the good old days!
* Rock Samurai
Formed in 2008 by guitarist Maekawa and drummer Yoshi (two Japanese expats who have lived in KL since 2000), Rock Samurai are not afraid to rock out in pubs, restaurants, and any social gathering that requires unfiltered Japanese grooves! Augmented by an Aussie bassist, Rock Samurai will also feature a funky horn section for their appearance at J-Music Fest 2016. Rock!
1月23日（土）の夜、モントキアラのパブリカ野外ステージで初の日本音楽フェスティバルを行います。出演は有名老舗バンド「Rock Samurai」、昭和歌謡＆J-popの「UTTK+N」、若さが炸裂「Garuda」その他在馬日本人を中心とする様々なジャンルのアマチュアミュージシャンたち。入場無料、どなたでもご覧いただけます。日本食の屋台も出るので、この日の夜は老若男女全員集合しビール片手にJ-Musicで盛り上がりましょう。
