Rimba Alam Ultra Relay (RAUR) is a road relay for a team of 4, with option to run a team’s total distance of 52.8KM

Each team member, will take turns to run the 1.2 km lap in the pristine urban forest park in Taman Warisan Pertanian, Putrajaya, until the team has completed either the 52.8 km or continue for longest distance.

Race Category and Format

  1. The race will be done in team relay format.
  2. A team will consist of 4 runners.
  3. Two categories of winners to be up for challenge:
    • First team to complete 52.8km total distance (44 loops)
    • Team with longest total distance in 12 hours
  4. One loop will cover a distance of 1.2km
  5. Sub-categories:
    • Team of 4 Men
    • Team of 4 Mixed (must consist a minimum of 1 female runner)
    • Team of 4 Men-Alumni (must consist runners from the SAME high-school or STPM /A-Level, College, University ; does not need to be in the same year in school).
    • Team of 4 Mixed-Alumni (similar as (iii) above but must consist a minimum of 1 female runner)

RUNNING FORMAT AND ORDERS

  • Each runner in the team will take turn to run a single loop of 1.2km
  • The order of runners in a team must follow the order during the registration. (note: Team is allowed to change runner(s) in the team and/or running order, latest during the race pack collection by completing the ‘CHANGE RUNNERS / RUNNING ORDER FORM’. No changes are allowed after the race pack collection day.
  • During the race, the running order must follow the number assigned on the bib number. i.e. 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4-1-2….
  • The running order must be maintained throughout the 52.8km or 12 hours. Runners are not allowed to skip any loop/turn or swap turns with his/her teammates at any time.
  • If a team decides to contest for the longest distance category, the team must still maintain the original order of all four runners.
  • In the event that a team member is injured and have to leave the race to attend to emergency cases, the team must report to the Race Director if they want to continue completing the 52.8km distance. The Race Director may use his discretion to allow the team to continue without the missing team member but the team will not be classified in the ranking. Finisher medals will still be given if the team completes the 52.8km. Team with any missing member will not be allowed to continue in the longest distance category.
  • No replacement of team members is allowed at any time during the race. This will result in automatic disqualification.
  • Each team has to nominate a team Captain, who is responsible to ensure his/her team members are ready for their loop in correct order.
  • This is a team event. All for one, and one for all.


MANDATORY BATON AND EXCHANGE ZONE
All runners must run with the assign baton for each team and will hand the baton to the next runner in
the designated runner exchange zone. Any team running without the team’s baton will be disqualified.


GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
The minimum age for participation for Open category is 16 years old at the date of the event (anyone under 18 years old must provide written parental consent), and 18 years old for Alumni category. All team members must agree to the rules and regulations before registering for the race.


TERM & CONDITIONS

  1. The Organizer reserves the right to close entries before the deadline without any notice once the race quota is full.
  2. Entry forms will only be processed upon receipt of full payment of entry fee.
  3. The Organizer reserves the right to limit and refuse entries without reason.
  4. The Organizer reserves the right to contact and to interview applicants by phone or otherwise for additional information required for matters relating to their applications.
  5. Entry fees are non-refundable. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse entries once the entry is accepted if any applicants provide false information, do not make the required payment, or fail to meet entry requirements as stated in the entry form.
  6. Should the event be cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of the Organizer (including heavy rain, thunder storm or disaster, public rally), no refund of the entry fee will be made and the Organizer shall have no further responsibility and/or liability thereafter.
  7. Running is not a ‘free risk’ sport and therefore each runner must ensure his/her health condition is fit before participating and during the race.  Each runner shall be responsible with his/her own health/condition. The Organizer shall be responsible for personal injury or death during or after the race due to gross negligence of the Organizer.
  8. The Organizer reserves the right to disallow/ disqualify any person who is known or suspected to be physically unfit to participate in the event. Should a runner get injured during the race, on case by case basis as recommended by medical team as appointed by the Organizer to monitor the race, such runner may be treated in hospital as designated by the Organizer with a treatment cost not exceeding the amount agreed by the Organizer and the relevant hospital. circumstances.
  9. The organizer and its agents will not be held responsible for any issues relating to parking at the venue.  Participants are advised to follow the instructions given by traffic personnel for proper parking.  The organizer and its agent will not be held responsible due to losses suffered in the event of break ins or vandalism to the vehicles of participants.  Proper vigilance must be exercised by all participants when parking their vehicles.
