Rock legends Yip Sai Wing and Paul Wong of the famous Hong Kong band BEYOND will collaborate to stage their world tour “IMPULSE” on 24 August 2019 at the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting at 8:30pm. The new tour which celebrates 36 years of legendary BEYOND songs is set to recreate nostalgic BEYOND moments with fans.
The theme “Impulse” is inspired from the idea of redefining and reigniting the impulsivity of rock music. The legendary duo will be jamming BEYOND’s evergreen classic songs with fresh and dynamic re-arrangements, injecting new breed and soul to each song. Complemented with sophisticated stage design and sound-light effects, the tour has drawn overwhelming response and has toured major cities such as Shenzhen, Macau, Dalian, Suzhou and Foshan etc. to date.
BEYOND, a Hong Kong rock band formed in 1983, consisted of four members namely Wong Ka Kui, Paul Wong, Yip Sai Wing and Wong Ka Keung. The band busted into the mainstream music scene and dominated the Cantopop music industry in the 80s with their catchy and inspirational songs. In 1993, the news of the passing of lead vocalist Wong Ka Kui broke the hearts of millions. After the tragedy, the band continued to perform as trio before its official disbandment in 2005.
For over three decades, BEYOND’s music remains as an evergreen and their popular anthems still strike a chord with anyone growing up to their tunes. Their hit songs included “Boundless Oceans, Vast Skies,” “The Glorious Years,” “Truly Love You,” “Never Doubt You” and “Like You,” etc.
香港摇滚巨匠叶世荣联手黄贯中，宣布在8月24日，晚上8点30分，携带《冲动效应IMPULSE》演唱会登上云顶云星剧场开唱！两人将在演唱会上同唱BEYOND金曲，让曾经的情怀和青春重新出现在我们眼里。
叶世荣与黄贯中难得再度合体开办演唱会，机缘来自前年的一次合作机会。当时，两位皆受邀出演某音乐题材的电影，在电影尾声一起登台演唱BEYOND金曲，触动了许多观众的回忆与泪水，也造就了俩人强强联手启动了这次的《冲动效应IMPULSE》演唱会。
叶世荣与黄贯中将透过这次的演唱会，向观众重新定义“冲动”的效应。服装造型将全面升级之外，同时也將搭配大量的LED荧幕及炫酷的灯光效果，再次点燃歌迷对一代摇滚的激情与冲动！拥有“亚洲鼓王”美誉的叶世荣与乐队灵魂吉他手黄贯中在演唱会上除了会献唱Beyond的经典之作，两人也将个别展现经典的打击乐桥段。
叶世荣与黄贯中《冲动效应 IMPULSE》 演唱会于2017年底在深圳开跑，成功重新掀起了一轮摇滚风潮，目前已唱过了澳门、大连、苏州、佛山等各大城市，更获得广大观众的好评。
Beyond于1983年成立，由黄家驹、黄贯中、黄家强、叶世荣组成，是华人乐坛最具代表性的摇滚乐团之一。他们的作品以写实与原创为主，唱着年轻人对未来的憧憬与盼望、追梦与现实的矛盾等正能量题材。1993年，随着乐队主唱黄家驹的离世，Beyond以三人阵容继续活动。虽然在2005年正式解散，但只要响起乐队的歌曲，都能引起许多人的共鸣。他们的代表作包括了《海阔天空》、《光辉岁月》、《真的爱你》、《不再犹豫》、《喜欢你》等歌曲。
