Learn effective autism strategies that have helped thousands of children in more than 80 countries around the world.

About this Event

Mr. Raun K. Kaufman will discuss key strategies utilised at the Autism Treatment Center of America, which has helped thousands of parents with children in the autism spectrum in more than 80 countries worldwide. This lecture includes an introduction to The Son-Rise Program®.

Raun K. Kaufman is the International Autism Lecturer, Director of Global Education, and Senior Teacher for The Son-Rise Program® at The Autism Treatment Center of America.

As a child, Raun, himself, was diagnosed by multiple experts as severely autistic, with an IQ below 30, and destined to spend his life in an institution. Years later, Raun graduated from Brown University with a degree in Biomedical Ethics and has become a passionate and articulate international lecturer, author and teacher to families with children on the autism spectrum.

In his lecture, Raun will talk about how his parents worked with him intensively during his early years to help him overcome his challenges. He will share some specific techniques they used to help him with establishing eye contact, verbal & non-verbal communication skills, lengthening his interactive attention span and encouraging flexibility. Participants will leave the lecture with new tools to put into practice immediately.

This lecture is specifically for parents and adult caregivers of children of all ages challenged by Autism, Aspergers, PDD, and related developmental difficulties.

*We appologise that this event cannot accommodate children.

“Down to earth, humorous, intelligent, and heroic. An excellent public speaker. Someone who actually managed to hold my attention for the entire two and a half hours-very rare! The most interesting lecture I have ever attended-even after studying a BA in Behavioural Studies and Philosophy!” - Georgina L., Child Facilitator, Australia

“The only time ever since the diagnosis that I feel there is a future for my son.” - Urszula Coskin, Mother

“Very dynamic, but incredibly real. I could relate to Raun because he used words and examples that I understood. He took principles and concepts that were foreign to me and made them simple to understand. He also uses his sharp sense of humor to help people over the more difficult parts of an emotion or concept. I got a lot out of his class and teaching style.” - Rebecca B., Director of Regional Centers, Massachusetts

“The first time I felt understood as a parent. The first time I heard someone talk who truly understands autism.” - Sarah Walker, Mother
