About the exhibition:

Abstract artist Mulaika’s second solo exhibition I Know You’re Somewhere So Far was completed in a span of four years and comprises of 60 works of art. It explores themes of disconnect and isolation through the lens of an empathic teenage artist as she navigated a constantly changing environment culminating in the period of the pandemic in 2020 and2021.The show addresses issues of mental health, with works such as Every 40 Seconds on suicide rates, as well as Homosapiens and Slave of the 21st Century which touch on the realities of human nature and modern day society.Despite the show’s overarching dark themes, it acts as an ode and a closure to Mulaika’s childhood. It is an optimistic nod towards the experiences from this chapter of her life.We witness the young artist, who turns 18 in the middle of the show, pay homage to her teenage years as she enters adulthood and begins to venture into the real world.
