WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RUN?

A virtual run is a race that you can complete at your own pace, anytime and anywhere.

Virtual running works exactly the same as any other type of running but the difference is that the entered race can be run at any location, either outside or inside on a treadmill. However, you will need tracking devices or apps to record your running progress and submit it to the organiser.

The first step is to register for a race and check out specific instructions of the event you join for more information.

INTRODUCING : THE BRAILLE RUN 2023 (VIRTUAL EVENT)

This virtual run is organized by StartUp team as part of our mini project, aiming to spread awareness about braille system and education in Malaysia. Thus, 20% of the total fees will be donated to fund the process of printing braille books in Malaysia. In other words, this is a chance to RUN and DONATE at the same time!

1. The Braille Run 2023 is a virtual running challenge held for approximately 6 months. It's open for all Malaysian (at all ages).
2. Distance tracking activities via running/hiking/walking only is permitted.
3. Participant must complete their distance tracking activities by on foot.
4. Any tracking devices/apps are allowed provided that it displays the running distance and the activity date.
5. Participant will be responsible for his/her own safety and organizer will not be responsible for any incident/injury occur throughout the challenge.
6. Participant(s) will be disqualified if one of the following is identified/occurs:
   1. Unrealistic/faulty results based on activities synced/submitted.
   2. Strava Tag Along/using results belonging to other runners.
   3. Failure to submit result latest by the deadline (30th September 2023, 2359hrs).
7. If participant(s) encountering any difficulties/problems to complete/submit the result, please email us at [email protected] . We will take the matter into consideration and deliver the medal to you.
8. If there is a return of parcel during the delivery of the finisher’s entitlement due to whatever reason. Upon request, the Organizer will arrange to resend the parcel but the delivery charges will be borne by participants. 
9. Any notice sent to the email address registered with the Organizer shall be deemed as received by the Participant.
10. If the Participant provides any information that is untrue, inaccurate, outdated or incomplete, or if the Organizer has ground to believe that such information is untrue, inaccurate, outdated or incomplete, the Organizer may at any time suspend, revoke, cancel or terminate the Participant's registration for the Event or entitlement and fees will not be refunded. 
11. The Organizer will not entertain nor be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete or inaccurate entry details in the registration form.
12. Submission of the result must be submitted anytime before 30th September 2023 (before 11.59pm). 
13. The finisher entitlement will be delivered to the shipping address provided during the registration batch by batch, starting from 14th October 2023 onwards.
14. The Organizer has the rights to amend the Terms & Conditions at any time at its sole discretion without any prior notice.
