BAYU RUN 2024 | NORTH BORNEO HALF MARATHON

The second edition of BAYU RUN. Organized by BAYU Drinking Water. Local drinking water brand that encourages the community to collectively adopt an active and healthy lifestyle and commited to inspire Sabahan through the beauty of healthy hydration.

Terms and Conditions

• Participants under 16 years old are required to obtain parental consent.
• Participants must be present at the Kudat Sports Complex before 5:00 am. 
• Race bib swapping/transfer to other runner is illegal. If this should happen the runner will be immediately disqualified
• Runners must display the bracelet throughout the run, transferring bracelets to other runners will be disqualified.
• Participants who are sick or have health problems are not encouraged to run on race day
• There will be NO medal replacement for lost/stolen medals after the event.
• There will be NO swapping of sizes (event tee, finisher tee) during Race Pack Collection, at the finishing line or after the event.
• Failure to adhere to the following terms and conditions can result in disqualification without notice
• The organizers reserve the right to amend the rules/prizes/route and other race details as deemed necessary without prior notice.

CATEGORY

• Participant's age category is based on his/her age on the date of the Race.
• Participants must fulfil the minimum age requirement in their respective age category. 

21.5KM Half Marathon

• Open Category – all male and female participants must be a minimum of 16 to 45 years as of 14 July 2024.
• Veteran Category – All male and female participants must be a minimum of 46 years to 50 years as of 14 July 2024.

• All participants men and women must be a minimum of 16 years as of 14 July 2024.

Prizes

• Organizers reserve the right to amend prize money categories, amount as deemed necessary
• Cash prizes quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM), Prizes may be given by CASH.

Refunds

• No refunds will be entertained once full payment is received.
• Confirmed registrations are not transferable to other person(s).
• Registered runners are not allowed to change their categories once the registration is confirmed.

RISK

• By entering this event, participants acknowledge they are physically fit and able to compete in the event.
• Upon submission of the registration form, participants are acknowledging their agreement to abide by these Terms & Conditions. Additionally, they are pledging to hold the Organiser, sponsors, employees, and associates, whether directly or indirectly involved in this event, harmless against any liability arising from injury, loss, or damage associated with their participation in the event.

Pictures and Documentation

The Organizer shall be entitled to use pictures and documentation of the Participants taken during the event for purposes related with the event or any future events.
