In the Realm with Pooja B

After juggling a flight attendant career and DJing for over a decade, Pooja B followed her dream & moved to Berlin in 2021 just as clubs were re-opening. She uses her understanding of dancefloor psychology to curate sets that resonate with her love for dancing. She feels most grounded in the fundamental techno sound she heard in Berlin’s clubs on her first trip to the city in 2016. Like the polarity of her femme & masculine energy, she embraces the neurodiverse spectrum of her musicality. Reflecting the place & time, you could hear her play energetic grooves, brain-massaging frequencies, or dark industrial textures. 

With a growing presence, Pooja B plays for many queer collectives & clubs in Berlin & beyond. She played at Tresor, closing the main floor at her first gig there. Recently, she debuted at Boiler Room along with Amotik & Rikhter, playing the closing in Goa & the slot between the gents in Pune. Both sets received a great response & will be aired early 2024. Other renowned gigs she has been part of are Gegen (Berlin), Hör radio, Magnetic Feilds Festival (India), TRESOR West (Dortmund), Analog Room (Dubai), Mina Suspension (Lisbon), Balance Festival (Leipzig), & Womb (Tokyo), among others. She has held a few residencies and can navigate extended warm-up, peak time, or closing slots.

Her music productions are often political, & she intentionally digs for music by FLINTA & BIPOC artists. Pooja B is involved in diverse communities, working on transcultural inclusion, equity, and mental health in music spaces. This has fostered a loyal and supportive fan base that rallies behind her every project.
