Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA) is the recognized body representing all Registered Estate Agents in the country. MIEA has certainly come a long way since the pioneering days in 1970s. A small dedicated group of estate agents that included Paul Lee, Tony YT Lee, T Mahima Singh, Joseph Peh, Colonel Gill, Thinahara Kumar and Ernest Y Y Cheong met regularly to eventually form the Malaysian Association of Real Estate Agents (MAREA), the predecessor of MIEA.
