Rules and Regulations

The following rules and regulations are established to ensure a safe, respectful, and productive environment for all participants. By participating in the Career Spark Program, participants and their parents/guardians agree to comply with these rules:

1. Attendance and Participation
• Participants must attend all sessions and activities as scheduled throughout the program.
• Arriving on time for each activity is mandatory to ensure smooth operations.
• Active participation and engagement in all activities are encouraged to maximize the learning experience.

2. Respect and Behaviour
• All participants must show respect toward facilitators, staff and fellow participants.
• Any form of bullying, harassment, discrimination or inappropriate behaviour is strictly prohibited.
• Instructions provided by the program facilitators and staff must be followed at all times.

3. Dress Code
• Participants are required to dress appropriately for the program.
• Sportswear and closed-toe shoes are mandatory for physical and outdoor activities (e.g., Canoeing).
• The use of culturally sensitive and modest attire is encouraged.

4. Health and Safety
• Participants must adhere to all safety guidelines provided during activities.
• Any injuries, illnesses, or medical conditions must be reported to the facilitators immediately.
• Personal medication is the responsibility of the participant, and staff must be informed of specific medical needs.

5. Use of Facilities
• Participants must use the facilities at Universiti Malaya responsibly and maintain cleanliness.
• Any damage to property caused by a participant will result in repair or replacement costs being charged to the responsible party.
• Eating and drinking are allowed only in designated areas.

6. Personal Belongings
• Participants are responsible for their personal belongings.
• The program organisers will not be held liable for any lost, damaged or stolen items.

7. Prohibited Items
• The following items are not permitted during the program:
-Weapons, drugs, alcohol, and other illegal substances.
• Any items that could cause harm or pose safety risks.
-Electronic devices (e.g., phones, tablets) must not be used during scheduled activities unless approved by facilitators.

9. Parental Consent and Emergency Information
• Participants under the age of 18 must submit a signed parental/guardian consent form before the program begins.
• Parents/guardians must provide accurate emergency contact information.

10. Dismissal from the Program
• Participants who violate the rules, disrupt activities, or display inappropriate behaviours may be removed from the program.
• No refund will be provided in cases of dismissal due to misconduct.

11. Photography and Media Usage
• The organisers may take photographs or videos during the program for promotional or documentation purposes.
• Participants who do not consent to media use must inform the organisers in writing before the program starts.

12. Liability
• The organisers will take all necessary precautions to ensure participant safety but will not be held responsible for any injuries or accidents that occur due to non-compliance with safety instructions.
• Parents/guardians acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with outdoor and physical activities.

Acknowledgement:
By registering for the Career Spark Program, participants and their parents/guardians agree to abide by the rules and regulations outlined above.
