IMPORTANT NOTICE:

• Please fill in the form CAREFULLY - There will be an ADMIN FEE of RM30 for changing runner details AFTER registration

• Runners are NOT allowed to run with OTHER runner's bib
  

• There will be NO race pack postage AFTER the event

• Race Packs not collected once the event ends will be deemed as unwanted and the Organiser may dispose or re-distribute them accordingly

• There will be NO medal replacement for lost/stolen medals after the event

• There will be NO swapping of sizes (event tee, finisher tee) during race pack collection, at the finishing line or after the event

• Age categories are assigned automatically by the system according to date of birth keyed-in

Failure to adhere to the following terms and conditions can result in disqualification without notice

The organizers reserve the right to amend the rules/prizes/route and other race details as deemed necessary without prior notice

SABAH MARATHON SERIES (SMS2025):

• ONLY available to participants that register under "Sabah Marathon Series 2025"
• You must run ALL 3 ABBIM 2025, TM 2025 and EMS 2025 within COT to be eligible.
• A commemorative tee and medal would be accorded to runners who complete ALL races within the COT stipulated for all the full marathons.

Running

• Flag off and Finish will be from Sandakan Sports Complex
• Runners MUST run with the timing bib provided
• Runners are only allowed to run with their OWN BIB - those caught bib swapping will be disqualified immediately and identity shared with other running events
• Flag off:
  • Full marathon - 2am
  • Half marathon - 4am
  • 10km - 6am
• COT - cut off times for full marathon - 7 hours, half marathon - 4 hours, 10km - 2 hours
• Runners with other abilities, eg. blade runners, wheelchairs, other assistive devices are allowed to participate but will not qualify for prizes

Prizes

• Organizers reserve the right to amend prize money categories, amount as deemed necessary
• Prizes may be given by CASH OR VIA BANK TRANSFER
  
• All prize money winners must have a personal bank account and must sign a declaration that their personal address and bank account information provided to the organizer is correct.
• All prizes quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM).
• Verification at the finish line is mandatory for all potential winners to claim any prizes.
  
• Failure to undergo verification at the finish line will result in disqualification from prizes.

Refunds

• No refunds will be entertained once full payment is received

Age Categories:

Full Marathon

• Open Category – all male and female participants must be a minimum of 18 years as of 16 Nov 2025, i.e. born before 16 Nov 2007.
• Veteran Category – all male and female participants must be a minimum of 41 years and above as of 16 Nov 2025, i.e. born before 16 Nov 1984.

Half Marathon

• Open Category – all male and female participants must be a minimum of 16 years as of 16 Nov 2025, i.e. born before 16 Nov 2009.
• Veteran Category – all male and female participants must be a minimum of 41 years and above as of 16 Nov 2025, i.e. born before 16 Nov 1984.

10 KM Race

• Open Category – all male and female participants must be a minimum of 13 years as of 16 Nov 2025, i.e. born before 16 Nov 2012.
• Veteran Category – all male and female participants must be a minimum of 41 years and above as of 16 Nov 2025, i.e. born before 16 Nov 1984.

All registered runners will get the following items:

• Event T-shirt for ALL categories 
• Finisher’s medal for ALL categories (finish within cut off time)
• Finisher’s T-shirt for Full Marathon ONLY (finish within cut off time)
• Finisher’s Certificate for 10 KM, Half Marathon & Full Marathon which can be obtained online (finish within cut off time)
• Goodie bag

Add Ons

Race Pack Postage

• Postage is only available within Malaysia
• Only one (1) Race Pack per add on
• Race Pack is expected to arrive 5-7 days before Event Day

Merchandise T-shirt

• NOT the event T-shirt
• Buyers who purchase ONLY the merchandise T-shirt and did not register is NOT eligible for runners entitlement (refer above "all registered runners will get the following items")

ORGANISER

• Elopura Marathon Sandakan (“the event”) is organised by Persatuan Ortopedik Sandakan.
• The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Terms & Conditions at any time at its sole discretion without any prior notice.
