The Liberalism Conference will be organized at Connexion@Nexus on 19 September 2015.

* The word “liberalism” has a negative connotations here in Malaysia. The term ‘liberalism’ itself is often vaguely defined, but has been targeted as a catch-all bogeyman against organisations and individuals that depart from conventional social or religious narratives.
In light of this IDEAS is organizing a one-day conference to address the philosophical definition of liberalism, and how the ideology as it is currently practiced impacts upon various areas of social concern in Malaysia. This event will provide a platform for those interested to study the issue.
