Event Description:
The 5KM fun run is part of the launch of the OLAK Olympian Initiative, which aims to support children from low-income families in Klang by providing them with access to sports. Many talented young student athletes in Klang miss out on opportunities simply because they cannot afford basic sports gear. This event is designed to raise funds and awareness to help up to students from B40 families get the equipment, coaching, and training they need to participate in sports. The fun run event is open to all and will include family-friendly activities like sand art, bouncy castles, food trucks and lucky draws.
Event Objective:
The goal of the OLAK Olympian Initiative is to ensure that children in Klang, regardless of their background, have access to sports. We aim to raise RM200,000 to provide sports gear, coaching, and training for B40 students in Klang schools, helping them become part of school and community sports programs. The funds raised will help give these students the tools they need to build skills, confidence, and discipline. We hope this initiative will open doors for them to explore sport-related career opportunities in the future.
