This year, Offline 16 is taking things up a notch with a series of 4-hour mini escapes that all add up to the full 16-hour digital detox. And for this round, we’re trading screens for greenery. In a world that’s always on, disconnecting has become one of the best forms of self-care. - Who can participate in Offline 16: Nature’s Retreat?
This event is open to everyone aged 9 and above. Whether you’re a nature lover, someone looking to unplug from digital distractions, or simply curious about mindfulness and mental wellness, this event is for you. Participants below 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to join the fun. - Is there any registration fee?
Yes, the registration fee is RM50 per person, which includes access to all activities, an event kit, meals, and a fun-filled experience! - How long are the offline hours?
The offline hours last for 4 hours, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. During this time, all digital devices must remain sealed in the provided pouch. You may use your phone freely outside of the offline hours. - What time do I need to arrive at the event?
Please arrive by 7:30 a.m. for registration, event kit collection, and to change into your event jersey. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., so come early and fuel up before the activities begin! Please note that arriving late or leaving early during offline hours means you won’t qualify for finisher entitlements. - Do I need to do a COVID-19 test before attending the event?
While not mandatory, we encourage all participants to conduct a self-test before the event for the safety of themselves and others. - What do I need to present to collect my event kit?
To collect your event kit, please present your e-ticket at the registration desk. The e-ticket can be shown on your phone or as a printed copy. Ensure that the QR code or barcode on the e-ticket is clearly visible for scanning. - What's included in the event kit?
Upon registration, you’ll receive an event jersey, a canvas bag, a wristband, a passbook, a phone pouch, and exciting goodies worth more than RM300 to kickstart your Offline 16 experience! - What should I wear during the event?
We recommend wearing the event jersey to be part of the team spirit! For safety and comfort, please wear comfortable long pants and court shoes to move freely and enjoy the activities! - What is the event passbook for?
The event passbook allows you to collect stamps by participating in activities throughout the event. Collect five stamps to qualify for a chance to win in our lucky draw. If you lose your passbook, you can request a new one, but you’ll need to participate in the activities again to earn your stamps and qualify. - Is there a baggage deposit area on the event day?
No, there will not be a baggage deposit area available. Participants are responsible for their own belongings. We recommend bringing only essential items and keeping them with you at all times. - Do I need to bring anything with me on the event day?
Yes! Please present your e-ticket for entry. We also recommend bringing a towel and an extra shirt for your comfort. - Can I bring my phone or any other digital gadgets to the event?
Yes, you are allowed to bring your phone, but it must be kept inside the sealed pouch provided at registration. Smartwatches must also remain offline. To maintain a distraction-free environment, tablets, laptops, game consoles, and other digital gadgets are not allowed. - Do I need to turn off and surrender my phone at the event?
No, you don’t need to turn off your phone, but you’ll need to switch off mobile data and WiFi. Your phone will be placed in a sealed pouch, which you’ll keep with you throughout the event. - What if I need to use my phone during the event?
If you really need to use your phone during the event, just let the crew at the registration desk know and they’ll help unseal the pouch. Just a heads-up that this means you’ll be disqualified and won’t receive the finisher entitlements. You’ll need to reseal your phone if you want to continue with the event. - Can I use my phone to take photos during the event?
Your phone will be sealed in a pouch from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to help you fully unplug and enjoy the event. You can use your phone to take photos before and after this offline period. Meanwhile, our official photographers will capture all the best moments, and you’ll be able to download the professional photos after the event. Feel free to bring a camera if you’d like to take your own pictures too. - Can I unseal the phone pouch on my own?
No, you are not allowed to unseal the phone pouch on your own. If you are caught unsealing or using a phone or any other digital device during the event without notifying the event crew, you will be asked to reseal the device immediately. Additionally, you will be disqualified from the event and will not receive your finisher entitlements. - What should I wear for the nature trekking?
Wear comfortable, sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots. Don’t forget a hat and sunscreen for sun protection. - What should I bring with me on the trek?
Bring a water bottle, insect repellent, a small backpack for your belongings, and any personal medications you may need. - How long is the nature trekking route?
The trekking route covers approximately 1km and takes around 1.5 hours to complete. It’s designed to be beginner-friendly and suitable for all fitness levels. Each group of 10 participants will be accompanied by experienced guides who will ensure safety and share interesting insights about the surrounding flora. - What happens if it rains on the day of the trekking?
The trekking may be postponed or adjusted depending on the weather conditions. Participants will be notified in advance. - Is Tai Chi suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! Our Tai Chi session is designed to be beginner-friendly, so no previous experience is necessary. Feel free to join, no matter your fitness level. - What health tests are available?
We offer complimentary health tests, conducted by healthcare professionals. They will guide you through each test and provide health consultations to help you understand your results and stay on top of your well-being! - Are there any other activities?

Please notify the nearest marshals or medical responders immediately for necessary medical attention. - Are meals provided?

Finisher entitlements are for participants who complete the required offline hours and collect at least 5 stamps in their passbook. You can redeem your finisher badge at the registration desk at the end of the event. Your e-certificate will be emailed to you within 7 working days. - What if someone needs to look for me during the event?
