a. Are tickets refundable?
No. All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable but transferable. Each ticket admits one participant only.
b. Who needs a ticket?
Every participant aged 12 years and above requires a ticket to attend the symposium.
c. Can I share my ticket with someone else?
No. Each ticket permits entry to one individual only and cannot be shared.
d. Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Yes. To transfer your unused ticket, please email us at [email protected] with the new participant’s full name and email address at least 3 working days before the event.
e. Are parents encouraged to attend?
Absolutely! We believe parents play a crucial role in supporting their child’s academic journey. There’s even a special panel discussion led by experienced parents, for parents. Register alongside your child for the full experience!
f. Do I need to be there for the whole event?
Not necessarily. You may attend the sessions that interest you most. However, we encourage you to stay for networking opportunities, university exhibition, panel discussions as well as mini-games happening throughout the day.
g. Will food and refreshments be provided?
Yes. A buffet lunch with over 20 dish selections including halal and vegetarian options will be served, along with refreshments available throughout the event.
h. What’s the policy on personal data collected?
Your information is used by UKEC and the participating institutions for purpose to communicate about the event and answer your enquiries. You will also be added to our monthly newsletter featuring university updates, scholarships, admissions tips, upcoming events etc. You can unsubscribe anytime via the link in the email footer. Your data will not be shared with third parties without your express permission.
i. Will photography or videography be used?
Yes. Photos and videos will be taken throughout the event. By attending, you consent to the use of such media for UKEC’s marketing and promotional purposes.
j. What’s the code of conduct?
All participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully towards others. UKEC reserves the right to remove anyone who disrupts the event or violates this policy.
k. Can the event change or be cancelled?
UKEC reserves the right to make changes to the event schedule, speakers, or venue if necessary. In the unlikely event of cancellation, participants will be notified via email and a full refund will be provided.
