LGRA Kids Running Class – Bukit Jalil

Nurturing Young Athletes Through Movement & Fun

At LGRA (Little Grappy Running Academy), our Kids Running Class is designed to build a strong foundation in physical fitness and sports skills in a safe, structured, and fun environment. Whether your child is just starting or already active in races, we provide tailored guidance to help them grow through every stage of their development.


Class Schedule:

  • Every Saturday: 4:30pm – 5:30pm

  • Every Sunday: 5:00pm – 6:00pm

  • Location: Bukit Jalil National Stadium


Who Is This For?

Children aged 5 to 12 years old, with or without prior sports experience. We separate students by ability levels to ensure everyone learns at their own pace:

Beginner Group:

  • Focus on basic coordination, balance, and movement

  • Learn the foundation of running form and discipline through play

  • Improve motor skills through agility and fun drills

Intermediate Group:

  • Introduction to proper technique in endurance and sprinting

  • Strength and speed development

  • Mini-competitions to encourage sportsmanship and confidence

Advanced Group (For Young Athletes Racing Competitively):

  • Advanced running drills and sprint techniques

  • Race strategy and mental focus

  • Strengthening programs to reduce injury and boost performance

LGRA Kids Class – Weekly Training Themes

Duration: 25th June – 25th July 2025
Location: Bukit Jalil
Schedule:

  • Saturday: 4:30pm – 5:30pm

  • Sunday: 5:00pm – 6:00pm


️ Week 1

Saturday, 28 June 2025 – Agility and Mini Game
Kids will improve their reaction time, movement control, and change of direction through exciting agility drills. The session ends with a fun mini game to apply what they’ve learned in action.

Sunday, 29 June 2025 – Endurance and Mini Game
This class focuses on building cardiovascular endurance through safe, age-appropriate continuous running games. A mini game keeps it engaging and fun while reinforcing stamina.


️ Week 2

Saturday, 5 July 2025 – Sprint, Responsiveness and Mini Game
Children will be introduced to sprint drills and learn how to respond quickly to start cues. Mini games will reinforce explosive movement and quick reaction.

Sunday, 6 July 2025 – Technique, Form and Hill Challenge
This session emphasizes running form and posture, followed by light hill challenges to improve leg strength, balance, and breathing control.


️ Week 3

Saturday, 12 July 2025 – Plyometric and Responsive Game
A dynamic session where kids practice jumping, bounding, and quick reactive movements. This helps build leg power, coordination, and speed reflex.

Sunday, 13 July 2025 – Fartlek and Speed Challenge
A mix of fun pace variation activities (Fartlek) and short bursts of speed work to teach rhythm control and quick turnover. Kids will end with a fun speed challenge game.


️ Week 4

Saturday, 19 July 2025 – Coordination and Mini Game
Focus on body coordination, movement accuracy, and rhythm. Games will be used to challenge balance and multitasking abilities.

Sunday, 20 July 2025 – Speed and Endurance
This session combines speed bursts with longer efforts to test and build both speed and endurance. Kids will learn how to pace and finish strong.


Notes for Parents:

  • All sessions are adjusted based on age group and level (Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced).

  • Kids are encouraged to explore, have fun, and build discipline through sports.

  • Consistency in attendance is key to skill progression.

LGRA Kids & Youth Class – Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility

  • Group A: Ages 5 to 12 years old

  • Group B: Ages 13 to 18 years old

  • Participants must be physically fit and free from any medical condition that could interfere with safe participation.

  • Parental or guardian consent is required for all participants under 18 years old.


2. Class Attendance & Punctuality

  • Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to ensure proper warm-up.

  • Missed sessions will not be refunded or replaced unless cancelled by LGRA.

  • LGRA reserves the right to adjust class timing, structure, or assign substitute coaches when needed.


3. Fees & Payment

  • All fees must be paid in full before the first session to secure placement.

  • No refunds will be provided for personal schedule conflicts, non-attendance, or withdrawal.

  • Special discounts or package promotions are valid within the specified period only.


4. Safety & Conduct

  • All participants must follow coach instructions and safety protocols at all times.

  • LGRA is not responsible for injuries, illnesses, or lost personal items during training.

  • Any disruptive behavior may result in removal from class without refund.


5. Parental Supervision

  • For Group A (5–12 years): Parents are encouraged to stay nearby during sessions.

  • For Group B (13–18 years): Independent participation is encouraged, but emergency contact must be available during class time.

  • Parents/guardians should avoid interfering during class unless requested by the coach.


6. Weather Policy

  • Classes may be delayed, moved, or rescheduled in the event of heavy rain or lightning.

  • Announcements will be made via WhatsApp at least 1 hour prior to class start time.


7. Media Consent

  • Photos and videos may be captured during training sessions for promotional and educational purposes.

  • If you prefer not to have your child featured, please notify us in writing during registration.


8. Class Changes & Cancellation

  • LGRA reserves the right to combine, postpone, or cancel classes due to low registration or unforeseen conditions.

  • Cancelled classes initiated by LGRA will be either rescheduled or credited.


9. Data Protection

  • All participant data will be handled confidentially and used strictly for LGRA internal purposes.
