GENERAL CONDITIONS
- The organizer will take reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of participants; however, participants compete at their own risk.
- The Organizer is not responsible for any personal injury, loss, and/or damage to property arising from participation in this event.
- The Organizer has the right to use any photos and video recordings of participants for any purpose, including but not limited to commercial and advertising purposes.
- Any final decision made by the appointed Race Director is final.
PARTICIPATION & REFUND CLAIMS
- All participants who have completed online registration automatically agree to comply with all rules and conditions set by the organizer.
- The Organizer reserves the full right to limit, accept or reject any entry at its discretion and with its consent.
- The organizer stipulates that all participants must complete the online registration form with accurate and valid information.
- If a participant is absent or fails to attend the race and withdraws, there will be NO REFUND or NO CONSIDERATION FOR ANY CLAIM.
- Race registration will only be confirmed upon full payment of the race entry fee and category, and race participation is non-transferable.
- NO CHANGE of name and race category will be allowed after registration is complete.
- Please confirm all details are accurate before submitting your registration.
- WALK-IN entries will not be accepted.
- The age of a participant is based on the year of birth (YOB).
RACE PARTICIPANT KIT
- The collection of race participant kits will be determined by the organizer as per the information in the advertisement.
- All participants must ensure their race participant kit is collected on the specified date. Failure to collect/possess the race participant kit at the appropriate time may result in disqualification.
RACE DAY
- The Race Briefing will be conducted by the Organizer's Technical Team and can be accessed online on a platform that will be specified. The race briefing, which will include maps, routes, and other technical details, will be conducted or released on a date and time to be determined by the organizer.
- A participant may be disqualified for the following reasons:
a) Failure to comply with the rules and conditions and/or instructions given by the Organizer and/or Race Officials.
b) Consumption of alcohol, stimulants or any type of illegal drugs is not allowed 24 hours before the race.
- If a participant decides to withdraw from the race, they must report to one of the Race Officials.
- The details on the back of your RACE BIB must be filled in to allow us to contact your next of kin in case of an emergency.
- The cut-off time for this event will be set by the organizer according to the category and will be announced in the briefing.
TIMING CHIP
- The Timing Chip is the only method of measuring race time. If there is NO CHIP, there is automatically NO official TIME RECORDING.
- All participants must ensure the Timing Chip is installed as per the instructions (to be explained in the briefing).
- Incorrect installation/wearing of the timing chip can result in inaccurate readings. The organizer is not responsible for this failure.
RUNNING DISCIPLINE
- All runners must ensure their race number is clearly visible on the front of their running attire at all times.
- Shirts and pants are mandatory at all times and require a SYARIAH-FRIENDLY concept for Muslim participants.
- The use of headphones or earphones and any similar gadgets is not allowed during the race.
CYCLING DISCIPLINE
- Shirts and pants are mandatory at all times and require a SYARIAH-FRIENDLY concept for Muslim participants.
- For this year's event, the organizer sets a FREE condition for participants to choose to use either a Road Bike, Mountain Bike, or Folding Bike or similar.
- The use of Electric and Engine spec bikes or similar is not allowed, and participants will be automatically disqualified from the race.
- Bikes will be inspected by race officials before the event takes place.
- All participants must wear a helmet throughout the cycling route. Any participant seen riding without a helmet will result in immediate disqualification.
- All participants must ensure their helmet is securely fastened before leaving the bike transition area.
- All participants must ensure their race number is visible on the back of their cycling attire at all times.
- Participants are free and allowed to walk or run with their bicycles.
- The use of support vehicles and crew is not allowed. Any assistance received while cycling will result in immediate disqualification, with the exception of medical assistance only which is permitted.
- All participants are required to perform their own repairs if their bicycle faces mechanical problems.
- Participants must place their bicycle on the designated bike rack (parking) with their race number visible on the morning of the race day.
- Officials will ensure the position and condition as stipulated.
TRANSITION AREA LOT
- Each bike rack (parking) is numbered to match and must be the same as the participant's race number.
- The Organizer will provide a basket for each participant for their belongings.
- It is strictly forbidden for participants to interfere with the belongings of other participants.
- Cycling is not allowed in the Transition Area Lot. Officials will enforce this prohibition.
WEATHER FACTORS
- In the event of bad weather, the organizer reserves the right to postpone the start of the race (based on technical advice and authorized parties as the race is held during the monsoon season) .
- If bad weather continues after the postponement session, the Organizer reserves the right to decide to postpone or defer the race without any refund of the registration fee (based on technical advice and authorized parties as the race is held during the monsoon season) .
MEDICAL AND HEALTH CONDITIONS
- Duathlon is a sport that demands physical endurance and challenges. Therefore, participants are advised to ensure their health condition is at its best and the organizer suggests that participants seek advice from a professional medical practitioner first.
- Participants are advised and prohibited from consuming alcohol, stimulants, or any kind of illegal drugs within 24 hours before the race.
- Participants must ensure that they are physically ready, well-rested, and well-hydrated on race day.
- If a participant feels unwell during the race, the participant must stop and seek immediate medical attention from the medical service on the route or at the finish area (make sure the officials are informed) .
- The professional medical team has the absolute right to remove a participant from the race if they are deemed physically unable to continue, for example, due to severe dehydration, dizziness, or fainting. The decision of the Organizer is final in these cases.

This competition is named the "Criterium MTB" Bicycle Competition of the Malaysian Statutory Bodies Association Sports.
Apart from the rules contained in these Specific Regulations, the race will be conducted in accordance with the rules/laws of the UCI (Union Cycling Internationale).
Should any dispute arise in terms of interpretation, the latest UCI Rules/Laws in English will be followed.
All decisions made by the Technical and Competition Committee are final.
The total race time or race distance as well as the rider's start time are as stated in the race schedule.
If the number of participants exceeds the set number, a qualifying round (heat) will be held to select the best participants for the final round.
All riders are required to sign the rider confirmation form (Sign on Sheet). They must be present to sign at least 1 hour before the race time. The time for signing will end 15 minutes before the race time. The Panel of Commissaires has the right to cancel the entry or the victory of any rider who fails to sign the rider confirmation form (Sign on Sheet).
A Repair Pit will be provided. Only valid bicycle malfunctions (valid mishap) are eligible for one neutral lap. The rider concerned is required to ride to the provided . Repair Pit to get help from their respective team and then wait until their group arrives. However, this neutral lap is not allowed in the last three (3) laps.
Overlapped riders are not allowed to continue the race.
The winner is determined based on the position of the best 10 riders who cross the finish line during the final lap sprint.
All riders will be supplied with one (1) rider number plate. The rider number must be in its original and perfect condition and cannot be cut or folded. Any modification to the number is strictly prohibited.
The rider number must be placed/pinned perfectly on the back of the rider.
All riders are required to wear a suitable and safety-featured hard shell helmet. The organizer has the right to prevent riders who do not use a suitable and safety-featured helmet from participating in the race.
The wearing of sleeveless jerseys is strictly not allowed in the race. The organizer has the right to prevent riders who wear sleeveless jerseys from participating in the race.
Only Mountain Bikes (MTB) are allowed to race.
The use of slick tires is not allowed, and the minimum allowed tire size is 1.95.
Rigid forks are not allowed in the race.
The maximum allowed chainring size for a bicycle is 42t.
If a rider is stopped by an official due to a fight or spectator interference, the race outcome will be determined by the Disciplinary Committee, as will the action against the officials and players involved.
- WITHDRAWAL, FREE WIN, AND FAILURE TO ATTEND
Article (12.0) in the General Rules of the Malaysian Statutory Bodies Association Sports applies.
All protests submitted by any team must comply with Article (17.0) in the General Rules of the Malaysian Statutory Bodies Association Sports.
Any rider who has registered and been given a Rider No. is strictly not allowed to hand over the number to another rider (allowing another rider to use his number). A rider who has not registered is strictly not allowed to use another rider's number. If this happens, the organizer has the right to cancel his participation or his victory.
The organizer will not be responsible for any injury, accident, death or damage and loss of property, before, during or after this competition takes place. The organizer has the right to make any amendments or changes to the rules stated above without any prior notification. Any amendments will be decided at the Team Managers' Meeting. The decision made at the Team Managers' Meeting is final.
11.1 Article (23.0) in the General Rules of the Malaysian Statutory Bodies Association Sports applies.
