1.     We come with new and exciting categories this year to support everyone from beginner level to MASTA level. Yes, we heard you. Various categories, from 24hours to 3hours, enjoy all you can during the run.

2.     We will maintain the 2025 route edition as the majority requested the same venue and view. Yes, we know you love it.

3.     We will uphold most of the ground rules for all participants. 

4.     Same format for the fee applies; you choose what package you want. There is an optional purchase for a tee and medal. 

5.     Slot only limited to only 500 participants in this edition.

6.     There will be 100 special tokens for 1st 100 registrations. Jangan kata kami tak payung!

* Late period registration is entitled to the race slot and manual race bib only. No shirt and medal. Insurance, and all other coverage are included in the fee. 

* Fee excludes online processing fee and Sport Permit. The organizer of the Watergate 24 Hours reserves the right to deny entry to any participants. All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. You agreed to this policy when you chose to proceed with the registration for the event. All race entries are non-transferable, and failure to adhere to this will result in disqualification.


Race Format

- Running a loop from Kompleks Sukan Air to Putrajaya/Cyberjaya border (based on categories) and turning back to Kompleks Sukan Air. It is 2KM per loop for 24 hours category and 4KM per loop for other categories.  
- Runner with the highest number of loops wins the race. For the tiebreaker, gun time will be used to determine the position.
- Complete a minimum distance according to your category requirements.
- No pacers (non-registered runners) are allowed. We believe in your integrity, and we will not tolerate any misconduct or cheating.


Winner's Prizes (Trophy)

Trophy for the top 5 winners in each category.
No cash prize.

Eligibility

- This race is open to all Malaysian/Permanent Resident and overseas runners aged 18 years and above only. For the Fun Run and junior category, parental/guardian consent is required.

- Participants must complete the race on foot under their own strength. 

- Participants are required to be semi-self-sufficient. You must always have your mandatory equipment with you during the race.

- The Organizer reserves the right to deny entry to any participants.


Pacer / External support

- Pacers and support crews are strictly prohibited. 

- No external support from friends or family is allowed beyond the limits of the official checkpoints.


Medical 

- There will be medical personnel on standby at the race site.

- Ambulance service is on standby as well for emergency cases only.

- Participants are responsible for ensuring they are fit and healthy before starting the race. Please consult your doctor if there is any doubt.


Insurance

- Participants are to accept the risks associated with the event as per the indemnity clause in the registration form.

- The organizer will not be responsible for any claims resulting from this event.

- It is recommended that you have personal accident insurance or health insurance.


Event Cancellation

The organizers shall reserve the right to cancel or cut short the event for the following reasons (but not limited to) 

- Adverse weather conditions (haze, thunderstorms, etc.)

- Dangerous trail conditions (landslides, floods, Tree fallen/fires blocking the course, etc.)

*In such an event, no refund of the registration fee.


Recommended Item 

- Hydration bag/handheld bottle/cup.

- Food/energy bar/gel.

- Handphone (for emergencies).


Toilets are available at the starting point only.


*We will implement a bring your own bottle/cup concept (BYOB/BYOC) for this race. So please bring your own portable cup or bottle and place it in the designated area for runners. We will not provide any disposable cups/bowls at the starting/finishing line and all water stations.


Safety

- Race bibs must always be worn & visible (on the front) throughout the event. 

- Participants must always stay on the marked course at all times. Shortcuts/running off the route are strictly prohibited.

- Participants must always carry all the mandatory items during the event. 

- If you notice marshal vehicles (motorbike / jeep) approaching during the race, please slow down and give way.

- Ensure your own safety and that of others. Be considerate of other road users always. - Take great care when crossing or running on roads. If another runner is injured or in distress, please assist. 

-There is no road closure during this race.
- Please avoid running on the road if possible.
- Pavement or pedestrian walkways, or any path along the side of the road, should be used when available.
- Use caution and common sense when crossing the road or at junctions.

- Put extra care at junctions and traffic lights.


Dropping Out From The Race 

If you decide to withdraw from the event, you must inform the event officials (Secretariat) immediately and remove your race bib. Once you have dropped out of the race, you are not allowed to restart.


Race Timing  

There will be a timing system used for this race.

Pictures and Documentation

The Organizer shall be entitled to use pictures and documentation of the Participants taken during the event for purposes related with the event or any future events.


Amendments / Reservations / Acknowledgment

  1. Organizer reserves the right to modify, supplement or waive all or part of the event rules.
  2. Failure to follow these event rules, as may be amended, will result in immediate disqualification.


Terms & Conditions

  1. The Organizer reserves the right to close entries before the deadline without any notice once the race quota is full.
  2. Entry forms will only be processed upon receipt of full payment of entry fee.
  3. The Organizer reserves the right to limit and refuse entries without reason.
  4. The Organizer reserves the right to contact and to interview applicants by phone or otherwise for additional information required for matters relating to their applications.
  5. Entry fees are non-refundable. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse entries once the entry is accepted if any applicants provide false information, do not make the required payment, or fail to meet entry requirements as stated in the entry form.
  6. Should the event be cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of the Organizer (including heavy rain, thunder storm or disaster, public rally), no refund of the entry fee will be made and the Organizer shall have no further responsibility and/or liability thereafter.
  7. Running is not a ‘free risk’ sport and therefore each runner must ensure his/her health condition is fit before participating and during the race.  Each runner shall be responsible with his/her own health/condition. The Organizer shall be responsible for personal injury or death during or after the race due to gross negligence of the Organizer.
  8. The Organizer reserves the right to disallow/ disqualify any person who is known or suspected to be physically unfit to participate in the event. Should a runner get injured during the race, on case by case basis as recommended by medical team as appointed by the Organizer to monitor the race, such runner may be treated in hospital as designated by the Organizer with a treatment cost not exceeding the amount agreed by the Organizer and the relevant hospital. circumstances.
  9. The organizer and its agents will not be held responsible for any issues relating to parking at the venue.  Participants are advised to follow the instructions given by traffic personnel for proper parking. The organizer and its agent will not be held responsible due to losses suffered in the event of break ins or vandalism to the vehicles of participants.  Proper vigilance must be exercised by all participants when parking their vehicles.

Participant Waiver

  1. By participating I/we accept all risks necessarily resulting from my participation, which would result in loss of life or permanent injury.   2. I/we understand that I park my vehicle at my own risk and assume organisers to not hold any responsibility for loss of or damage to my vehicle.
  3. I/we acknowledge that the event involves real risk of serious injuries, or risk of death, from various causes including overexertion, equipment failure, dehydration, accidents with other competitors, spectators, and road users, the course and weather conditions, just to name a few.
  4. I/we understand that I should not participate in the event unless I have prepared appropriately and my physical condition has been verified by a medical practitioner.
  5. I/we understand that the information that I have provided herein will be included in the organizer's database. I also understand that information of a biological nature including my name, date of birth, home state, results, career highlights and interests may be released to the media in response to general requests.
  6. I/we agree to abide by all the Rules of organisers which relate, in part, to safe and fair sporting practices.
  7. I/we grant organisers unconditional rights to use at their discretion photographic pictures and personal information in any form of media, art, advertising, trade, visual documentary, promotional material, merchandise or film coverage of any kind without compensation to me. I also waive the right to inspect and/or approve the finished product or the copy that may be used in connection therewith, or the use to which it may be applied.
  8. I/we have permission from my family and related sport associations to compete in this event.

  • Should the event be canceled due to circumstances beyond the control of the Organizer (including heavy rain, thunderstorm or disaster, public rally), no refund of the entry fee will be made and the Organizer shall have no further responsibility and/or liability thereafter.
  • Running is not a risk-free sport and therefore each runner must ensure his/her health condition is fit before participating and during the race.  Each runner shall be responsible for his/her own health/condition. The Organizer shall be responsible for personal injury or death during or after the race due to the gross negligence of the Organizer.
  • The Organizer reserves the right to disallow/disqualify any person who is known or suspected to be physically unfit to participate in the event. Should a runner get injured during the race, on case by case basis as recommended by the medical team as appointed by the Organizer to monitor the race, such runner may be treated in hospital as designated by the Organizer with a treatment cost not exceeding the amount agreed by the Organizer and the relevant hospital. circumstances


Participant Waiver

  1. By participating I/we accept all risks necessarily resulting from my participation, which would result in loss of life or permanent injury. Accordingly, I will not hold liable all people associated with the conduct of events and will release them against all matters arising from my participation in event. For clarification, the people released include event organisers, promoters, sponsors, managers, officers, employees, agents, contractors and volunteers including event medical and paramedical personnel and every personnel invited and asked to be involved in the event by the organisers. This release and indemnity continues forever and binds my heirs, executors, personal representatives, and assignees.
  2. I/we understand that I park my vehicle at my own risk and assume organisers to not hold any responsibility for loss of or damage to my vehicle.
  3. I/we acknowledge that the event involves real risk of serious injuries, or risk of death, from various causes including overexertion, equipment failure, dehydration, accidents with other competitors, spectators, and road users, the course and weather conditions, just to name a few.
  4. I/we understand that I should not participate in the event unless I have prepared appropriately and my physical condition has been verified by a medical practitioner.
  5. I/we understand that the information that I have provided herein will be included in the organizer's database. I also understand that information of a biological nature including my name, date of birth, home state, results, career highlights and interests may be released to the media in response to general requests.
  6. I/we agree to abide by all the Rules of organisers which relate, in part, to safe and fair sporting practices.
  7. I/we grant organisers unconditional rights to use at their discretion photographic pictures and personal information in any form of media, art, advertising, trade, visual documentary, promotional material, merchandise or film coverage of any kind without compensation to me. I also waive the right to inspect and/or approve the finished product or the copy that may be used in connection therewith, or the use to which it may be applied.
  8. I/we have permission from my family and related sport associations to compete in this event.
