GBBM was founded in Tehel, Malacca by Mr. Tee An Chuan, in the year 1975. In the sixties to seventies, Tehel was a rural village made up of about 30 families with a population of about 200 people. The villagers lived a simple and peaceful life and were closely knit. They were predominantly farmers and rubber tappers. Cycling was their main means of transport . The only school, Shuren School, has only one classroom.
