Season of Postcards

Concert Synopsis

Season of Postcards is a heartfelt original musical that follows the intertwined lives of three sisters, their niece, and an aunt, each carrying their own emotional weight in the aftermath of a family tragedy. When the brave young niece returns home after recovering from a life-altering injury, the family must confront grief, resilience, and the unspoken truths that linger in their hearts. Told through intimate, character-driven scenes and woven together by the symbolic act of writing their most private thoughts in postcards, each moment becomes a reflection of healing, remembrance, and reconnection.

The eldest sister, a kind but overwhelmed teacher, tries to balance work and caregiving. The second sister hides her grief behind structure and control, while the youngest brings bursts of optimism and animation to a home that often feels stuck in the past. Their loving aunt, the family's emotional anchor, keeps them grounded with warmth and care. Meanwhile, friendships, school life, and budding romances add layers of humour and hope to a deeply emotional journey.

This musical production is more than just a performance—it's a collaboration between multiple performing arts institutions, designed to give young talents the chance to experience real-stage work while also shedding light on the often unseen struggles of those living with physical or emotional trauma. The project also aims to celebrate differently-abled artists and highlight the resilience of the human spirit across all walks of life.

Seating Arrangement

CONCERT ETIQUETTE 

1. Admits one person per ticket only. 

2. Children under the age of 5 will not be admitted. 

3. Late comers will not be admitted until there is a suitable break during performances or during intermission. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds or price adjustments if you arrive late for a performance. 

4. Ipoh Arts Collective ("ORGANISER") reserves the right to vary, substitute and/or withdraw the programs, artists, venue and seating arrangements as advertised without prior notice. 

5. No flash photography and videography are allowed during the progress of the performance. 

6. All mobile phones, electronic devices and watch alarms are to be switched off before entering the auditorium. 

7. Dress code: whatever you choose to wear, we want you to be comfortable and enjoy the performance, from jeans to formal! However, no shorts and slippers/sandals are allowed. 

8. You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own safety and for the safety of any person accompanying you. 

9. Ipoh Arts Collective ("ORGANISER") may also collect and use your personal information to provide you with information about our future concerts, activities and events which may be of interest to you or to request your support for the musical. 

TICKET POLICIES 

1. A Transaction Confirmation, and E-ticket(s) with Ticket ID (QR code) will be sent to the Ticket Buyer's registered e-mail once a successful purchase is confirmed.
Note: It is important that you provide us with a valid email address. Ticket2U will not be held responsible for non-delivery of the "Transaction Confirmation" due to an incorrect email address provided.

2. All tickets sold by Ticket2U Sdn Bhd (Ticket2U) are sold as an agent on behalf of the Ipoh Arts Collective ("ORGANISER"). 

3. Ticket2U will not be responsible if you encounter any loss in internet connection during the payment process. In the event your credit card is charged but seats are not secured, Ticket2U will refund the amount charged to you IN FULL. 

4. Lost or damaged ticket(s) will not be entertained. 

5. The Ticket Buyer shall be responsible for all tickets purchased. Ticket2U the ORGANISER are not obliged to re-issue, exchange or compensate any damaged tickets. Any damage to the tickets may result in the ticket holder not being allowed to enter the event venue. 

6. Payment via Local Bank Transfers (FPX), VISA and MASTER Credit Cards* are accepted. AMEX is currently NOT accepted.
