About Dance Competition
Participants must be 16 years old and above to join. No prior dance experience is required.
The competition consists of 1 round of showcase only. Bring your best and own the stage.
Participation is group-based only, with a minimum of 3 members and a maximum of 15 members per group.
Team member count cannot be changed after registration. For any enquiries, contact us at +011 2189 5569.
Walk-in registration on event day may be accepted depending on available slots and event running time.
There are no restrictions on dance styles. Express yourself freely and bring your unique vibe.
Each performance must be between 2 to 5 minutes.
Participants may choose their own music. Please email your song file in MP3 format to [email protected] by 31 June 2026. Kindly ensure the file is named with your team name and song title for easy reference. Participants are responsible for ensuring their music file is correct, clear, and suitable for public performance. Late submissions or changes after submission will not be accepted.
- Judging criteria include routine, execution, presentation, and overall performance. All judges’ decisions are final. No discussion or correspondence will be entertained regarding scores, rankings, or adjudications.
- Prizes are available for the competition, with the top 3 winners each receiving a prize.
- Participants are expected to maintain proper conduct throughout the event. Any inappropriate behaviour may result in disqualification.
- Failure to attend the event, arrive on time, or perform when called due to scheduling misunderstandings, travel arrangements, or personal circumstances will result in disqualification.
About Busking
There will be live buskers performing during the event.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own instruments and any required equipment.
Performances can be done either solo or in groups.
Busking session duration will be advised by the Organiser on event day based on the event schedule.

Who can participate in Offline 16: Dance & Busking Festival?
Offline 16 is open to everyone aged 9 and above, whether coming to dance, busk, enjoy the performances, or simply soak in the atmosphere. No experience is needed, all are welcome. Participants below 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Is there any registration fee?
Yes, the registration fee is RM50 per person, which includes access to all activities, an event kit, healthy meals, and a fun-filled experience!
How long are the offline hours?
The offline hours last for 8 hours, from 9:00AM to 5:00PM During this time, all digital devices must remain sealed in the provided pouch. You may use your phone before 9:00AM and after 5:00PM.
What time do I need to arrive at the event?
Please arrive by 8:30AM for registration and event kit collection. Please note that late arrivals or early departures within offline hours will not qualify for finisher entitlements, including the badge and e-certificate.
Do I need to do a COVID-19 test before attending the event?
While not mandatory, we encourage all participants to conduct a self-test before the event for the safety of themselves and others.
What do I need to present to collect my event kit?
To collect your event kit, please present your e-ticket at the registration desk. The e-ticket can be shown on your phone or as a printed copy. Ensure that the QR code or barcode on the e-ticket is clearly visible for scanning.
What's included in the event kit?
Upon registration, you’ll receive a canvas bag, a wristband, a passbook, a secure phone pouch, and exciting goodies worth more than RM300 to kickstart your Offline 16 experience!
What is the event passbook for?
The event passbook is your activity tracker! Join different activities to collect stamps and stand a chance to win in our RM15,000 lucky draw. If you misplace your passbook, you can request a new one, but you’ll need to start collecting your stamps again.
What should I wear during the event?
Dress comfortably and decently for a fun-filled day! We recommend long pants and covered shoes to keep you safe, comfortable, and ready to move freely throughout all the activities.
Do I need to bring anything with me on the event day?
Yes! Please present your e-ticket for entry. We also recommend bringing a towel and an extra shirt. If you plan to make purchases, bring cash or a credit card as well.
Is there a baggage deposit area on the event day?
No, there will not be a baggage deposit area available. Participants are responsible for their own belongings. We recommend bringing only essential items and keeping them with you at all times.
Can I bring my phone or any other digital gadgets to the event?
Yes, you are allowed to bring your phone, but it must be kept inside the sealed pouch provided at registration. Smartwatches must also remain offline. To maintain a distraction-free environment, tablets, laptops, game consoles, and other digital gadgets are not allowed.
Do I need to turn off and surrender my phone at the event?
No, you don’t need to turn off your phone, but you’ll need to switch off mobile data and WiFi. Your phone will be placed in a sealed pouch, which you’ll keep with you throughout the event.
What if I need to use my phone during the event?
If you really need to use your phone during the event, just let the crew at the registration desk know and they’ll help unseal the pouch. Just a heads-up that this means you’ll be disqualified and won’t receive the finisher entitlements.
Can I use my phone to take photos during the event?
Your phone will be sealed in a pouch from 9:00AM to 5:00PM to help you fully unplug and enjoy the event. You can use your phone to take photos before and after this offline period. Meanwhile, our official photographers will capture all the best moments, and you’ll be able to download the professional photos after the event. Feel free to bring a camera if you’d like to take your own pictures too.
Can I unseal the phone pouch on my own?
No, you are not allowed to unseal the phone pouch on your own. If you are caught unsealing or using a phone or any other digital device during the event without notifying the event crew, you will be asked to reseal the device immediately. Additionally, you will be disqualified from the event and will not receive your finisher entitlements.
Are there any other activities other than dance and busking?
Yes! There’s plenty to explore. Read a book, paint a bag, or stop by our mental wellness booth for a quick check-in. You can also join wellness activities like health tests, fitness challenges, and even make your own recycled keychain to take home.
Do I need to stay at the venue throughout the event and join all activities?
Yes, you must stay at the venue for the entire event duration. While you can choose which activities to join, you must complete a minimum number of activities and remain offline during the designated offline hours to qualify for finisher entitlements.
How do I qualify for finisher entitlements?
To qualify for finisher entitlements, you must be a registered participant, stay offline during the required hours, and collect the minimum number of stamps by completing activities. The badge can be redeemed at the end of the event, while the e-certificate will be emailed to you within 7 days.
What should I do if I am injured during the event?
Please notify the nearest marshals or medical responders immediately for necessary medical attention.
Can I take a break and rest at the event?
Absolutely! If you need to rest, feel free to take a break. Your well-being comes first!
Are meals and beverages provided?
Yes, food and beverages will be provided. If you have any dietary restrictions or special requests, please inform us during sign-up so we can accommodate your needs.
Can I bring or order outside food to the venue?
No outside food is allowed at the event.
What if someone needs to look for me during the event?

Do I need to purchase insurance?
All participants are covered with insurance provided by the event organisers.
Is a prayer room available?
Yes, there is a prayer room provided specifically for Muslim attendees to accommodate their religious needs.
