General
- By purchasing, possessing, or using a ticket for Merdeka Fiesta, all attendees agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions, including all rules, regulations, policies, and instructions issued by the organising committee.
- The organising committee reserves the right to amend, modify, or update these Terms & Conditions at any time where necessary for operational, legal, administrative, or safety purposes
Ticketing & Entry
- All tickets are valid for one-time entry only unless otherwise stated.
- Tickets must be purchased exclusively through the official ticketing platforms:
- Ticket2U
- JomRun
- Official Merdeka Fiesta Website
3. Tickets obtained through unauthorised channels may be deemed invalid without refund, compensation, or replacement.
4. Attendees may be required to present a valid identification document together with proof of purchase upon entry verification.
5. The organising committee reserves the right to deny entry to any attendee unable to provide valid ticket verification or identification where required.
Ticket Categories & Pricing
- Early Bird tickets are limited in quantity and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Ticket prices are subject to change without prior notice once a ticket category has sold out or a promotional period has ended.
- Influencer promotional discounts are not applicable to Early Bird ticket categories unless otherwise stated by the organising committee.
- Verified APU student discounts are applicable to all ticket categories, including Early Bird tickets, subject to successful verification.
Discounts & Promo Codes
- Only one (1) promotional code or discount may be applied per transaction.
- Promotional discounts, voucher codes, and promo codes cannot be combined, stacked, or used concurrently unless expressly permitted.
- The maximum discount applicable per ticket transaction shall be capped at ten per cent (10%).
- APU student discounts are only valid upon verification through an official Asia Pacific University (APU) email domain or other approved verification methods.
- The organising committee reserves the right to reject, revoke, or invalidate any discount found to have been obtained through false, misleading, fraudulent, or unauthorised means.
Refunds, Cancellations & Transfers
- All ticket sales are final.
- Strictly, no refunds, cancellations, exchanges, transfers, or cash reimbursements shall be entertained once payment has been successfully processed.
- Tickets may not be resold for commercial gain, unauthorised profit, or at prices exceeding the original purchase value unless expressly authorised by the organising committee.
- The organising committee reserves the right to invalidate tickets involved in suspected fraudulent, duplicated, unauthorised, or suspicious transactions.
Event Changes & Force Majeure
- The organising committee reserves the right to modify the event schedule, venue, activities, performances, programme lineup, or event arrangements where necessary.
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather conditions, government restrictions, public safety concerns, pandemics, technical failures, natural disasters, or force majeure events, the organising committee reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, modify, or cancel the event without prior notice.
- The organising committee shall not be held liable for any indirect losses, travel expenses, accommodation costs, personal expenses, or other consequential damages incurred due to event changes, postponements, or cancellations.
Attendee Conduct
- All attendees are expected to behave respectfully, responsibly, and lawfully throughout the event.
- Any form of violence, harassment, discrimination, vandalism, illegal activity, intoxicated misconduct, disruptive behaviour, or actions that endanger the safety, comfort, or well-being of others may result in immediate removal from the event without refund or compensation.
- The organising committee reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any attendee deemed to pose a safety, security, operational, or reputational risk
Prohibited Items & Activities
- Prohibited items may include, but are not limited to:
- Weapons
- Illegal substances
- Hazardous or flammable materials
- Fireworks or explosives
- Laser devices
- Dangerous objects
- Any item deemed unsafe by the organising committee, venue management, or security personnel
2. Unauthorised commercial activities, sales, distributions, solicitations, surveys, fundraising, or promotional activities are strictly prohibited without prior written approval from the organising committee.
Photography & Media Release
- By attending the event, attendees consent to being photographed, recorded, or filmed during the event.
- By attending the event, attendees acknowledge that photography, videography, livestreaming, and media recording may take place in public event areas. Attendees entering such areas may appear in crowd photography or recordings used for promotional, publicity, archival, or marketing purposes.
Liability Disclaimer
- Attendees enter and participate in the event at their own risk.
- The organising committee, partners, sponsors, venue owners, service providers, affiliates, and associated parties shall not be held responsible or liable for any personal injury, illness, loss, theft, damage, accident, delay, inconvenience, or other claims suffered during or in connection with the event, except where required by applicable law.
- The organising committee shall not be held responsible for any allergic reactions, food poisoning, health complications, or other medical conditions arising from the consumption of food or beverages provided, sold, distributed, or consumed during the event. Attendees are responsible for checking ingredients, dietary suitability, and personal medical requirements before consumption.
- In all circumstances, the maximum liability or compensation payable by the organising committee for any claim arising out of or in connection with the event shall not exceed the original ticket purchase price paid by the attendee.
Organizer Rights
- The organising committee reserves the right to interpret, enforce, and implement these Terms & Conditions at its sole discretion.
- All decisions made by the organising committee regarding ticketing, pricing, discounts, commissions, promotions, event operations, safety measures, participation eligibility, and dispute resolution shall be final and binding.
Personal Data Protection (PDPA)
- By purchasing a ticket, registering, or participating in Merdeka Fiesta, attendees consent to the collection, use, processing, and storage of their personal data by the organizing committee in accordance with the applicable laws of Malaysia, including the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
- Personal data collected may include, but is not limited to, full name, contact number, email address, identification details, educational institution details, payment information, emergency contact information, and any other information required for registration, verification, operational, safety, marketing, or administrative purposes.
- The organising committee may use attendees' personal data for:
- Event registration and ticket verification
- Communication regarding event updates, schedules, announcements, or emergencies
- Verification of eligibility for discounts or promotions
- Safety, security, and operational management
- Marketing, promotional, and publicity purposes related to current or future events
- Compliance with legal or regulatory obligations
4. The organising committee may disclose personal data to authorised third parties, including ticketing platforms, payment processors, event partners, sponsors, service providers, venue management, security personnel, medical teams, or government authorities, where necessary for operational, legal, or safety purposes.
5. Reasonable measures will be taken to ensure that personal data is securely stored and protected against unauthorised access, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or loss.
6. Attendees have the right to request access to, correction of, or withdrawal of consent regarding their personal data, subject to applicable laws and operational requirements. Such requests may be submitted through the official communication channels of the organising committee.
7. By attending the event, attendees acknowledge and agree that photographs, videos, recordings, or media containing their image or likeness captured during the event may be used in accordance with applicable laws and the provisions stated in Section 9 of these Terms & Conditions.
Copyright & Intellectual Property
- All event branding, artwork, logos, media, and intellectual property associated with Merdeka Fiesta remain the exclusive property of the organising committee and may not be reproduced, distributed, modified, published, or used without prior written permission from the organising committee.
