1. General Eligibility and Registration
Age Requirements: The event is open to participants of all ages. Participants under the age of 18 must have consent from, and be accompanied by, a parent or legal guardian throughout the event.
Registration Integrity: Participants must provide accurate information during registration. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel any registration with falsified information without prior notice.
Non-Transferable: Registrations are strictly non-transferable to another person without prior written approval from the Organiser.
2. Health, Safety, and Medical
Fitness to Participate: The fun walk is not a risk-free activity. Participants must ensure they are medically and physically fit to complete the course.
Right of Removal: The Organiser and medical personnel reserve the right to remove any participant who appears physically unfit or incapable of continuing the walk safely.
Assumption of Risk: Participants accept all risks necessarily resulting from their participation. The Organiser, sponsors, and local authorities shall not be held liable for any personal injury, death, or loss of property occurring during the event.
3. Pulau Ketam Specific Regulations
Ferry and Transportation: Ferry transportation to and from Pulau Ketam is not included in the registration fee. Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements. The Organiser is not liable for ferry delays caused by tidal conditions, weather, or operator schedules.
Terrain Safety: Pulau Ketam features narrow wooden and concrete boardwalks on stilts above swamplands. Participants must walk at a controlled pace. Running is strictly prohibited in congested areas or on wet, slippery wooden surfaces to prevent structural damage and accidents.
Wheeled Devices: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted but must yield to the flow of foot traffic.
Environmental Protection: Pulau Ketam is a traditional fishing village. Participants must respect the local community, keep noise to a reasonable level, and dispose of all trash in designated bins. Littering into the sea or swamplands is strictly prohibited.
4. Event Changes and Force Majeure
Weather Conditions: If the event must be delayed or cancelled due to extreme weather (e.g., heavy rain, thunderstorms, or high tides), natural disasters, or government directives, no refunds will be issued.
Route Alterations: The Organiser reserves the right to modify the event route at the last minute if certain boardwalks or areas become unsafe or impassable.
