1. Registration
• Registration is only valid upon successful payment (where applicable).
• Registration is non-transferable and non-refundable.
• Runners must ensure all information submitted is accurate.
• ECoS reserves the right to reject any registration containing false or incomplete information.
2. Eligibility
• The event is open to Malaysian citizens and non-citizens.
• Runners below 18 years old must obtain consent from their parent or legal guardian.
• Children participating in family categories must be accompanied by a registered adult.
3. Health and Fitness
Runners confirm that they:
• Are medically fit to participate;
• Understand the physical demands of the event;
• Participate entirely at their own risk.
ECoS reserves the right to prevent any runner from continuing if their health or safety is deemed at risk.
4. Event Rules
Runners shall:
• Obey all instructions from race officials, marshals and volunteers;
• Remain on the designated route;
• Wear their race tag throughout the event;
• Avoid any conduct that may endanger other runners.
ECoS may disqualify runners for misconduct or non-compliance.
4.1. Best Solarun Selfie Award
- Runners are encouraged to capture their most creative and memorable selfie during Energy Solarun 2026.
- The Best Selfie Award is open to all registered runners of Energy SolaRun 2026.
- The photo must be taken during Energy SolaRun 2026, and the runner must be wearing the official Energy SolaRun 2026 T-shirt.
- To qualify, runners must:
a. Follow the official ECoS Facebook and Instagram pages;
b. Post the photo on Facebook or Instagram; and
c. Include the hashtag #EnergySolaRun2026 in the caption.
- The runner’s social media post must be set to public to allow the Organiser to view and assess the entry.
- Only two (2) winners will be selected.
- The winning entry will be selected by the Organiser based on creativity, relevance to the event and overall presentation.
- The winner will be announced through the official ECoS social media platforms within one (1) week after the race.
- The Organiser’s decision is final, and no correspondence or appeal will be entertained.
4.2. Most Sporting Group Award
This award recognises the group that brings the most energy, creativity and team spirit to Energy SolaRun 2026.
- Open only to groups comprising a group registration of ten (10) runners.
- All members must participate together as a group.
- Groups are encouraged to dress in creative costumes or coordinated outfits.
- The official Energy Solarun 2026 T-shirt must remain worn and clearly visible as part of the costume or outfit.
- Costumes must be safe and must not obstruct the runner's vision, movement or ability to complete the run safely.
- Costumes must not contain offensive, discriminatory, political, dangerous or inappropriate elements.
- Judging may consider creativity, group coordination, sporting spirit, enthusiasm and overall presentation.
- One (1) winning group will be selected; each registered member of the winning group will receive an individual prize.
- The Organiser's decision is final.
5. Event Changes
ECoS reserves the right to:
• Amend the event programme;
• Change the route;
• Postpone;
• Suspend; or
• Cancel the event due to weather, safety, force majeure or circumstances beyond its control.
No refund shall be provided in such circumstances unless otherwise determined by ECoS.
6. Race Pack Collection
Runners are responsible for collecting their race packs during the designated collection period.
Uncollected race packs may be forfeited.
7. Photography and Media
Runners consent to ECoS photographing, filming or recording the event.
ECoS may use these materials for promotional, educational and publicity purposes without additional compensation.
8. Personal Data
Personal data collected shall be processed in accordance with the applicable data protection laws and ECoS Privacy Notice.
Information collected will only be used for event administration, safety, communication and related activities.
9. Liability
Runners acknowledge that participation involves inherent risks.
ECoS, its organising partners, sponsors, volunteers and contractors shall not be liable for:
• Injury;
• Illness;
• Death;
• Property loss;
• Property damage; or
• Other claims arising from participation, except where required by law.
10. Acceptance
Submission of registration constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
