The Sarawak International Tattoo And Culture Festival (SITCF) 2026 will take place October 23–25, 2026, at the Kuching South City Council Hall (MBKS). This three-day celebration of tattoo artistry, cultural heritage, and creative expression will bring together local and international tattoo artists, cultural practitioners, artisans, performers, and visitors for an immersive festival experience. Designed as a platform for cultural exchange, the festival showcases the rich traditions of Sarawak alongside contemporary tattoo art, fostering appreciation for indigenous heritage and artistic innovation.

Throughout the festival, visitors will experience an international tattoo showcase featuring both traditional and contemporary tattoo artists, alongside curated art and craft exhibitions displaying indigenous designs, handmade products, and works by local creative practitioners. The program also includes live tattoo demonstrations, educational sharing sessions, and discussions exploring the cultural significance, history, and identity of tattoo traditions.

Beyond tattooing, SITCF 2026 offers a vibrant lineup of cultural performances, including traditional music, dance, and presentations representing Sarawak’s diverse communities. Interactive craft workshops and community activities provide hands-on opportunities to learn traditional techniques and engage with local artisans, while live music performances and entertainment continue throughout the festival.

A bustling food and merchandise market will feature authentic Sarawak cuisine, local delicacies, cultural souvenirs, handmade crafts, festival merchandise, and creative products from small businesses and community organizations, creating a lively marketplace that celebrates the region’s entrepreneurial and artistic spirit.

The three-day program begins with an official opening ceremony, cultural performances, and the launch of the tattoo showcase, followed by a dedicated Cultural Exchange Day featuring international artists, live demonstrations, workshops, community activities, and educational forums. The festival concludes with final tattoo showcases, community workshops, artist appreciation sessions, cultural performances, and a closing ceremony celebrating the success of the event.

SITCF 2026 aims to create a meaningful platform where traditional knowledge, artistic excellence, and international cultural exchange come together to celebrate Sarawak’s unique identity. By uniting tattoo culture with heritage, art, music, and community engagement, the festival offers an inspiring experience for artists, collectors, cultural enthusiasts, and visitors from around the world.
