PART A – TERMS & CONDITIONS1. Registration: Registration is open to eligible participants according to the categories and requirements determinedby the Organiser. Participants must provide accurate and complete information during registration. The Organiserreserves the right to reject or cancel any registration containing false, incomplete or misleading information.2. Registration Fees: Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise determined by theOrganiser. The Organiser reserves the right to amend registration terms, fees or categories where necessary.3. Event Participation: Participants must wear the official event bib throughout the 5KM route and follow allinstructions given by the Organiser, event crew, marshals, medical personnel and security personnel. Participantsmust not engage in behaviour that may endanger themselves or others. The Organiser may remove participants whofail to comply with safety instructions or these Terms & Conditions.4. Health & Fitness: Participants declare that they are physically fit and medically able to participate. Participants areresponsible for assessing their own physical condition. Anyone feeling unwell, dizzy, experiencing chest pain,difficulty breathing or other concerning symptoms must stop immediately and seek assistance.5. Participants Below 18 Years Old: Participants below 18 years old must obtain consent from a parent or legalguardian. The parent or legal guardian accepts responsibility for the minor's participation and agrees to this waiver onbehalf of the minor.6. Event Changes / Cancellation: The Organiser reserves the right to change the route, schedule, venue or otherarrangements when necessary. The event may be postponed, suspended or cancelled due to adverse weather,natural disaster, safety concerns, government directives, emergencies or circumstances beyond the Organiser'sreasonable control. Any refund or alternative arrangement shall be determined by the Organiser.7. Personal Belongings: Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings. The Organiser shall not beresponsible for loss, theft or damage to belongings brought to the event.8. Photography & Publicity: Participants acknowledge that photographs, videos or recordings may be taken duringthe event. The Organiser may use them for event documentation, publicity, social media and promotional purposeswithout further compensation.9. Personal Data: Information provided during registration may be used for event administration, communication,safety, registration verification and related event purposes. The Organiser will take reasonable steps to protectparticipants' personal information.10. Acceptance of Terms: By registering for and/or participating in the event, the participant confirms that they haveread, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions and the Participant Waiver below.PART B – PARTICIPANT WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITYDeclaration: I, the undersigned participant, voluntarily agree to participate in the SAS & SSS 5KM Charity Fun Run2026 on 10 October 2026 at Taman Tasik Likas, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.Acknowledgement of Risk: I acknowledge that participation in a running event involves inherent risks, including butnot limited to falls, collisions, accidents, adverse weather conditions, physical exhaustion, dehydration, injury andother unforeseen circumstances.Agreement: I hereby confirm that I am voluntarily participating and accept the risks associated with participation;confirm that I am physically fit and able to participate; agree to follow safety instructions; and agree to stopparticipating if I feel unwell or continuing may endanger my health or safety.Release: To the extent permitted by law, I release and discharge Sabah Association of Secretaries (SAS), PersatuanSetiausaha Perkhidmatan Awam Negeri Sabah (SSS), their committee members, volunteers, event crew, marshals,sponsors, partners and authorised representatives from claims arising from risks ordinarily associated with myvoluntary participation in the event.Other Conditions: I agree that I am responsible for my personal belongings and property. I permit photographs,videos and recordings in which I may appear to be used for legitimate event publicity, documentation and promotionalpurposes. I confirm that all registration information is true and accurate and understand that the Organiser maymodify, postpone, suspend or cancel the event where necessary for safety, weather, emergency or othercircumstances beyond its reasonable control.Final Confirmation: I confirm that I have read and understood this Waiver and Release of Liability and agree to bebound by its terms.
