PINK OCTOBER CHARITY FUN RUN 5KM 2026

By registering for this event, the participant is deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by all the terms and regulations set out below.
1. PARTICIPANT ELIGIBILITY
1.1 This event is open to all Malaysian citizens and non-citizens residing in Malaysia.
1.2 Participants in the Adult category must be aged 13 and above on event day. The Children category is for participants aged 5-12 on event day.
1.3 Participants below 12 years of age MUST be accompanied by a registered parent or guardian throughout the event. A guardian consent form must be signed at registration.
1.4 Participants must be in good physical health and adequately trained to complete a 5KM run.
1.5 Participants with a history of heart disease, hypertension, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, pregnancy or any chronic medical condition must obtain medical clearance before participating, and MUST declare the condition during registration.
1.6 The organizer reserves the right to reject any registration or to bar any individual from participating without assigning any reason.
2. REGISTRATION AND FEES
2.1 Registration must be made only through the official channels designated by the organizer. Registrations made through unrecognized third parties will not be accepted.
2.2 The entry fees are as follows:
(a) Adult (13 years and above) — RM 35.00 per person.
(b) Children (12 years and below) — RM 32.00 per person.
2.3 The entry fee includes [event tee, bib number, finisher medal, goodie bag].
2.4 Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment and issuance of confirmation by the organizer.
2.5 Fees paid are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE to another individual or to a future event, even if the participant does not attend or the event is postponed.
2.6 The organizer is not responsible for any incorrect information supplied by the participant during registration, including tee size, name and contact details.
2.7 Participation is limited to 350 slots. Registration will close earlier if the quota is filled.
3. CATEGORIES AND DISTANCE
3.1 This is a 5-kilometre fun run and is NOT an officially timed competitive race, unless otherwise stated by the organizer.
4. RACE KIT COLLECTION
4.1 Race kits must be collected on the date 23th -24th October 2026 from 10am till 5pm at Klinik Kesihatan Kapar.
4.2 Participants must present proof of registration and identification when collecting the race kit.
4.3 Collection on behalf of another person is permitted only with a written authorisation letter and a copy of that participant's identification.
4.4 Race kits not collected within the stipulated period will be deemed forfeited and no refund will be given.
4.5 Tee size exchange is NOT permitted after registration closes, and is in any case subject to stock availability.
5. EVENT DAY REGULATIONS
5.1 Participants must arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes before flag-off for check-in and warm-up.
5.2 The bib number MUST be worn on the front of the body, fully visible, and must not be folded, altered or obscured at any time during the event.
5.3 Participants without a valid bib number will not be allowed into the start area and are not entitled to a medal or prize.
5.4 Participants must follow the designated official route. Cutting the course is strictly prohibited.
5.5 Participants must comply with all instructions from the organizer, marshals, safety officers and the police at all times.
5.6 The cut-off time is 120 minutes from flag-off. Participants who do not finish within that time must board the support vehicle provided.
5.7 The following are PROHIBITED within the event area and along the route:
(a) Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, roller blades, strollers (except with the organizer's written permission) and any other wheeled vehicles.
(b) Pets and animals.
(c) Earphones or headsets that prevent the participant from hearing safety instructions.
(d) Alcohol, prohibited substances, cigarettes and electronic cigarettes (vape).
(e) Attire or material bearing political, racial, obscene or offensive messages.
5.8 Participants must wear appropriate sportswear and running shoes. Running barefoot or in slippers is not permitted.
5.9 Participants must keep the event area clean and dispose of litter only at the designated points.
6. SAFETY AND MEDICAL
6.1 A medical team and ambulance will be stationed at the venue. Any participant experiencing discomfort must STOP IMMEDIATELY and seek assistance from the nearest marshal or medical officer.
6.2 Participants authorise the organizer and medical personnel to administer any necessary emergency treatment, including transfer to hospital, should the participant be unable to give consent at the time.
6.3 The cost of further medical treatment, hospital admission and follow-up care is the participant's own responsibility.
6.4 The organizer does NOT provide personal insurance coverage for participants. Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain their own insurance.
6.5 Participants must provide valid emergency contact details at registration and write them on the reverse of the bib.
7. DISQUALIFICATION AND ENFORCEMENT
7.1 The organizer reserves the right to remove or disqualify any participant, without refund, for any of the following:
(a) Not wearing a valid bib, or wearing another person's bib.
(b) Cutting the course or failing to follow the official route.
(c) Providing false information during registration, including age and health status.
(d) Behaving indecently or threateningly, or in a manner that disturbs other participants, officials or the public.
(e) Failing to comply with instructions from the organizer, marshals or the authorities.
(f) Receiving unauthorised outside assistance along the route.
8. PRIZES AND RECOGNITION
8.1 All participants who complete the run will receive a finisher medal.
9. WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY
9.1 The participant acknowledges that taking part in a running event involves a RISK OF INJURY, including serious injury, permanent disability and death, as well as the risk of loss of or damage to property. The participant takes part ENTIRELY AT THEIR OWN RISK.
9.2 The participant hereby releases and discharges the Klang District Health Office, the Ministry of Health Malaysia, sponsors, partners, volunteers, officers and their staff from any and all claims, liabilities, losses, costs and expenses arising from the participant's involvement in this event.
9.3 This waiver does not apply to gross negligence or wilful misconduct on the part of the organizer.
9.4 The participant agrees to indemnify the organizer against any third-party claim arising from the participant's acts or omissions during the event.
9.5 The organizer is not responsible for loss of or damage to participants' personal belongings at the venue, including items left at the bag deposit counter (if provided).
9.6 For participants below 18 years of age, this document must be signed by a parent or lawful guardian.
10. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
10.1 Personal data collected during registration will be processed in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Act 709).
10.2 Such data is used for event administration, safety, medical purposes, verification of results and notification of future events by the organizer.
10.3 Participant data will not be sold or disclosed to third parties without consent, save to event service providers, medical personnel and the authorities where required by law.
10.4 Participants may request access to or correction of their personal data by contacting the organizer.
11. PHOTOGRAPHY AND MEDIA RIGHTS
11.1 Participants consent to photographs, video and audio recordings taken at this event being used by the organizer for health promotion, official reporting, social media and publication, without any payment or royalty to the participant.
11.2 Participants who do not consent must notify the organizer in writing before event day.
11.3 Commercial filming or photography by third parties at the venue requires the organizer's written permission.
12. CANCELLATION, POSTPONEMENT AND FORCE MAJEURE
12.1 The organizer reserves the right to cancel, postpone, shorten the route or otherwise modify this event in the interest of participant safety.
12.2 If the event is cancelled or postponed due to circumstances beyond the organizer's control — including inclement weather, haze, floods, thunderstorms, disease outbreak, directives of the government or authorities, movement control orders, civil unrest or any other force majeure event — entry fees will NOT be refunded.
12.3 The organizer is not liable for any expenses already incurred by participants, including travel and accommodation, in the event of cancellation or postponement.
12.4 Any changes will be announced through the organizer's official channels. Participants are responsible for checking the latest announcements.
13. GENERAL PROVISIONS
13.1 The organizer reserves the right to amend, add to or delete any of these terms and regulations at any time without prior notice. The latest version published on the official channels shall prevail.
13.2 These terms and regulations are governed by the laws of Malaysia and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
13.3 If any provision in this document is held to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
