The main aspect of the big data is what organizations will do with the data and how it's can be analyzed for insights that lead to better decisions and strategic business moves.
The rapid adoption of many Big Data projects is due in part to the fact that the software required is open source that make open source technology is at the core of most Big Data initiatives. It's impossible to talk about Big Data without mentioning Apache Hadoop. But Hadoop is just a part of a thriving Big Data software ecosystem.
