Lee Yee was a household name both in Malaysia and Singapore in the early seventies and he together with Teresa Teng had toured Malaysia towns, securing their popularity among the masses. His rise to fame was phenomenal due to his handsome looks, versatile singing style and his ability to swoon his female fans. Unfortunately, his rise to stardom was abruptly cut short when he met with an accident that cost him his life. His departure was felt throughout the Chinese singing communities from as far as Hong Kong and Taiwan. 

6 outstanding performing artiste are set to pay tribute to Lee Yee as they each will perform their rendition of Lee Yee’s ever popular hits. Come walk memory lane once again and let each of these songs touch your heart as they once did during the 70s. 

Xu Wen You 
Southern Star (Xu Wen You) who won 102 national singing competitions before launching his first album. He represented Malaysia in Southeast Asia, making more than 100 stage appearances before emerging the champion singer in the Wang Wang Song Contest. Following that, he launched his album titled Shen Qi De M(神奇的马)in Indonesia. His World Tour, held from 2004 till 2016, saw him holding a total of 180 concerts in Indonesia! In 2005, Xu also became the overall champion in the Song of Lee Yee National Singing Contest. 

Yao Qiu Feng 
Yao Qiu Feng who has the nickname, Little Lee Yee, is a past winner of the Song of Lee Yee Singing Contest. He played Chen Lin Feng in Chang Hen Ge (长恨歌), and is a highly popular figure. 

Lin Qing Quan 
Lin came in second place in the 2nd and 3rd rounds of the “Song of Lee Yee National Singing Contest”. He was also the champion in the 4th round of the contest. 

Ivan 
In 2007, Ivan was the second winner in Astro’s Classic Song Singing Competition. The following year, he was invited to join Kuala Lumpur Chinese Voice Album Sdn Bhd. His first Chinese album was a solo effort and he has since launched a total of five albums in Chinese. He is also featured in three Chinese New Year albums featuring various artistes. 

Peng Xue Ming 
Peng Xue Ming made a name for himself after having successfully participated in a series of concerts. He is a popular figure among music fans. 

Zheng Mei Rong 
Named Malaysia’s Feng Fei Fei, Zheng has enjoyed success after having featured in over 100 singing contests. She also has an acting career, playing the role of Bai Yu Shu in Chang Hen Ge.
