What is Movement Theatre?
Movement Theatre is about the relationship between text and body. How can the performers utilize physical body to consider a new performing in a different way? To assist the performers to find the line between drama and dance, realistic and unrealistic performing.
The source of curriculum:
The technique of Jerzy Grotowski, Vsevolod Emilevich Meyerhold, Jose Limon, DV8 Dance Theatre and Song of the Goat.
動作劇場（Movement Theatre）── 將文本語言與肢體動作結合，表演者在台上同時表演及說白之外，還要配上大量的肢體。在寫實與非寫實表演間找到一個平衡，這是關乎於身體的表演，表演者如何創造空間與整個身體的關係，再更進一步地由外向內，再由內轉化至外表現於身體上。
課程來源發想：

About the facilitator:
TSAI Ching-Cheng
Graduated from University of Exeter and a freelance dancer, choreographer, actor and director for around ten years. She has worked and performed with a broad range of the famous choreographers and directors in the world, such as Lin Hwai-Min (Director of Cloud Gate), Rachel Lopez de la Nieta (British choreographer), Elizabeth Carmeron Dalman (the founder of Australian Dance Theatre), Ross Parkers (sub-director of Martha Graham Dance Company between 1894 and 1990), Phillip Zarrilli (British international director) and Simon Williams (British freelance artist). She loves to try and challenge any kind of performance and keep learning every day with different people.
蔡晴丞
台灣人，舞者出身，後至英國艾克斯特大學為劇場實務碩士，熱愛與任何形式的表演藝術做結合，相信這種挑戰可以讓自己不斷地學習與前進。所受訓練是將寫實與肢體表演結合，學稱動作劇場(Movement Theatre)。這是將表演藝術從生活動作中擷取精華部分，再配上台詞。「動作」並非單一的，而是生活中一連串有秩序的行為。
對蔡晴丞而言，演員的身體往往較能直接反應文本中動詞的認知，簡單明瞭、清楚卻又不誇張。在創作發想過程之中，便可以將演員直接投射的動作再加以放大並賦予節奏。節奏指的是語句的調性與情緒，讓其表演富新意卻又保有語言文字的情境。演出以寫實文本為起點，將寫實表演擴張到最大，進而成為非寫實肢體語彙但卻又保有寫實語言的動作劇場。
