Frances Yip, Elisa Chan and Maria Cordero have been household names since the 80s and they continue to be popular figures in the entertainment world. 

Frances is widely recognised as a Hong Kong Cantopop singer but is highly versatile. She stamped her mark with her many television series theme songs from TVB back in the 80s and early 90s, but has over the years released more than 80 albums in various languages. She is able to sing in English, Indonesian, Thai, Bahasa Malaysia, Spanish, Japanese and Mandarin, among others. 

Elisa has been a big name in Hong Kong since the 80s. Her illustrious singing career that began at 16 when she joined New Topnotes, a Cantonese-language band, culminated in the 80s when as a solo artist she performed many duets with the popular Leslie Cheung. 

Maria Cordero, for her part, can always hold her own as a singer, actress, TV host and deejay. She currently has a TV show called Maria's Kitchen. Hailing from Macau, Maria earned the nickname “Fat Mama”—a term of endearment from her fans that she has long since embraced. After a string of hits in the 80s, her vocal prowess led to many offers of recording contracts, movie roles and stage performances. Director and song writer Teddy Robin began writing songs for her such as the hit “Sai Hei.”
