earl of the Eastern & Oriental is a GTF commissioned, promenade-style performance at Penang's iconic E&O Hotel by the team that brought you the sold-out and critically acclaimed GTF commissioned play 2 Houses in 2014. Writer/director Lim Yu-Beng presents the second of a trilogy of odes to his father's home city of Penang, with an enchanting tale of a young lady butler at The E&O Hotel today as she goes about her job, in the company of ghosts and guests from the hotel's past and present. Perhaps to remind her of how exactly she would like to shape her future as a young Penangite today.

Guests will walk through a pre-designated route within The E&O Hotel as actors play out scenes. Produced by Tan Kheng Hua.
