Focus Japan. 
The artists chosen by KLPA director Steven Lee aims to highlight the different approaches to contemporary portraiture, covering documentary, conceptual and personal experimentation. In this exhibition, we revert to the pure and simplistic styles of photography, and about the people in the photographs - where the story takes centre stage without particular distractions like skewed angles, acute compositions or over complexities in exposure making.

KL-ga.org,
KLPA Events are proud to announce the official launch of KL-ga.org.(www.kl-ga.org). Initially, 30 specially selected photographers will form the core group of KL-Ga photographers who will share their personal visions of Kuala Lumpur through their photography - with the view to inform, document and archive the daily activities, glimpses & glances, surreptitious moments, concepts and human experiences that make up the ‘material’ of this vibrant city, in all its positivity.

The multifaceted nature of photography with its different genres and disciplines is what KL-Ga aims to bring together to today’s fast-paced image-led socially aware audience. We also cherish short photo-stories and artistic representations to broaden the experience economy.

Special guest Ms Naoko Ohta, founder director and chief curator ofTokyo-Ga.org is invited to Kuala Lumpur to officially launch KL-GA.org as an extending chapter of the original project.

Both events are open to the public.
