Come join us in two panel discussions with experienced Southeast Asian filmmakers to discuss the the filmmakers' vision and filmmaking techniques.
The panel discussions will be moderated by Dr. Gaik Cheng Khoo, Associate Professor from the University Of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. This event is open to everyone and there will be a Q&A session with the public.

Panel 1 - 2:00pm to 3:30pm
"Vision: Directors and producers"
Featuring John Torres, Tan Bee Thiam and Kenneth Raj.
This panel focuses mainly on how directors and producers work together to conceptualise a film and execute it during production and afterwards.
Panel 2 - 4:00pm to 5:30pm
"Execution through film techniques: cinematography, production design, sound and editing"
Featuring Sam Cochaputsup, Rasiguet Sookkarn, Isazaly Isa and Pete Teo.
This panel broaches the more technical aspects of film production, namely how cinematography, production design, editing all enhance storytelling and support a specific vision of the film.
*The Young Filmmakers Workshop is presented and organised by Next New Wave with support from FINAS Malaysia.
Besides nurturing young filmmakers through a mentorship program, the workshop is also a selection process for the ASEAN-ROK Film Leaders Incubator: FLY Workshop.
