Lee Mao Shan won his first singing competition in 1979, soon after he joined the music industry. In 1982, he caught the attention of Rui Hwa recording studio during a performance in Singapore. He released his first album 《Ni Yao Xiang Xin Wo》 in 1984, which was produced in Malaysia and Singapore. His third album, which was released in 1986, featured a duet with Lim Shu Rong. It was well received and raised his profile. The Taiwanese song 《Jin Ye You Ge Kuai Luo Yu》 that was produced by Kolin records soon became a household staple. He also hosted TV shows with Fang Fangfang in 1991 and with Jody Chiang, Irene Yeh & Yang Fan in 1993-1996. He hosted many shows from 1991-2001 and he was also the host of “2001 Astro Star Quest” in Malaysia.
Li Yi Jun is a Taiwanese singer who started performing at the age of 13. Her first album was published in 1987. The songs were originally from the China Youth Corps and it’s often used at the closing of most events. She also sang many theme songs for dramas directed by Chiung Yao and her songs were immensely popular. The main song of her album published in 1989 crashed with another male singer who is also publishing his new album, this rare encounter was recorded in the history of Chinese music industry. In 1990, the ending song of “A Better Tomorrow 3”, which was sang by Li, achieved outstanding result in KTV singing record.
