The Art of Mockery: Who Gets the Last Laugh? will be organized at Jaya One on 25th September 2016 (Sunday).

* For more information, please visit this website https://www.facebook.com/events/339588989720476/

This panel will discuss humour as a strategy of protest. We reflect on the power of laughter - its power to break and simultaneously alienate - and the ethical questions that it raises. How do we tell the difference between its use and abuse? Should anyone be out of bounds for ridicule? With cases like Charlie Hebdo and Zunar, where do we draw the line? How do we make the most of freedom of expression in contemporary Malaysian discourse while having a laugh?

Seriously though, what's so funny about politics?
