Movember (a portmanteau of the Australian-English diminutive word for moustache, 'mo', and 'November'; also known as No-Shave November) is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of various cancers, such as prostate cancer. We are doing the same this Friday showing support to all cancer survivors and raising awareness.
Hayze will perform a special LIVE interpretation of his new single 'Believer' downstairs on stage at exactly 12.30am following up with a live DJ set in the club lounge after.
The story behind 'Believer' is heart wrenching, and the artist himsef has struggled and conquered victoriously this dreadful disease. 'Believer' is a song about love, fight, belief and earning the right to life. 'Believer' represents all the support and love that Hayze has received from his family and dearest ones in almost three years of fight. 'Believer' is a song about faith and gratitude and possibly the most heartfelt and meaningful release in Hayze's two decades long artistic career.

With a consistent 20 year presence in the underground electronic music scene, Malaysian born, Hayze’s journey of improving and reinventing himself as an artist is more dynamic than ever. Experienced, passionate and dedicated, combined with a comprehensive skill set as a singer, songwriter, producer, musician, performer and DJ, the world is in his hands. 2012 was a big turning point in the life of Hayze, both personally and professionally. After overthrowing and surviving a life-threatening disease his whole perspective on life changed. Before his successful and well-known career was running under the moniker: Haze. By advice from his visionary father he changed Haze into Hayze. Same man, same heart, same talent, but a different way of life. What’s in a “Y”? Perspective!
Hayze might be best known for his work with household names like Noir, Sandy Rivera, Kings of Tomorrow, Audiowhores, Nic Fanculli, etc. Always proving his talent for creating emotional, melancholic and moving music and vocals. With every Hayze endeavour, it is safe to say that heart and soul are added undoubtedly. Tracks like ‘Around’, ‘Angel’, ‘Changes’, ‘Freak’, ‘Dreams’, and ‘Thru’ all received anthem status in the underground. Affirming Hayze is synonymous with delivering quality productions with impactful vocals and lyrics that stand the test of time.
‘Around’ is one of his biggest releases with production partner and long time friend Noir. Solomon’s remix hitting 24 million views (and counting) on YouTube was named ‘Top 50 Dance Tracks of All Time’ by Mixmag. Gracing more DJ boxes than there is space to name, this trend of success continued long into 2012 when Defected re-released it with an array of] remixes from the likes of Rudimental, Habischam and Murk. The long expected successor ‘Angel’ with Noir was released March 2014. The record went #1 on Beatport Tech House Charts just one week shy of its release, making it an instant future classic.
Hayze is currently busy with solo projects and new singles. First one up, to be released April 1st 2016, is ‘Brighter Days’ on Noir Music; with a sublime remix by UK star Huxley. And he does not sit still. The next couple of staggering releases are on their way and due to be released later in 2016. An album project and touring are on his radar now. As well as he loves being locked up in the studio, being out there in the open to perform as a DJ or singer keeps on inspiring him. With so much support and love from some of underground’s most elite, Hayze continues to connect to the world through his music.

AXEL GROOVE
Axel Groove found his inspiration after living 7 years in the concrete jungle wilderness of Australia. Returning home to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, he found that the underground music scene reignited his long lost passion for sexy house music, and the need to educate the masses.
He went to Excessive Studios, where hehoned his skills under the tutelage of the legendary Bryan Burger, and after a year of practice set out to set KL on re with his distinct sets.
He began to play regularly around the city, and also started curating his own nights, where he set the tone for the new generation of young pretty things; lending together the sounds of Chicago House with Berlin’s Tech and a dash of Disco.
This would eventually lead to residencies at Zouk, Pisco, Como, Nagaba, Elysium, Marini’s on 57, M8 Bar, Red Room, Blue Elephant, The Vault, Bait and more.
Axel’s touring has lead him to Singapore and Thailand. He debuted his legendary Panther’s Playhouse nights at Kyo, Singapore amongst many other venues there, and played Nikki Beach in Koh Samui. On top of that he has also shared the decks with some of the world’s biggest names.
Besides being a DJ, he is also a music and festival promoter where he continues to bring the message of good vibes and dance parties by curating and promoting nights both sides of the Causeway. He was recently appointed Entertainment Manager and Head Resident of Kyo Malaysia.
With inspiration from the likes of Kerri Chandler, all the way to Jamie Jones; Axel Groove brings together the sexiest and deepest cuts to feed the thirsty soul.
