OhanaJo Studio is a co-healing space to connect with like-minded souls and fellow yogis, teachers and speakers offering various ways to experience mind-body healing whether it’s through a yoga class, motivational talk, transformational workshop or session in sound healing.


WE ARE ALL CONNECTED

OhanaJo comes from the Hawaiian word ‘ohana’ which means family so we are thrilled and grateful you found us because at whatever point you’re at in your life’s journey, just know that everyone is welcome here, because we are all intrinsically connected. OhanaJo aims to provide a space for a conscious community to come together, grow and be supported by each other, because that’s what families do!

We truly hope you can find something at OhanaJo, whether it’s a place to express your own work, if you’re a teacher yourself or somewhere you can attend classes or workshops to reach your own goals, physically mentally and emotionally.

Jojo, or, ‘Jo’ to her close friends and family, has always made it a point to make people feel at home, included and welcome, so OhanaJo is an extension of her own family values and she would want you to feel that same sense of belonging when you visit her studio.

JojoStruys

Jojo Struys is a Regional TV Host, Author and Wellness Personality who checked herself into a yoga ashram in the foothills of the Himalayas in Rishikesh, India at the end of 2015 to complete her 200-hour TTC in yoga. She started learning how to meditate in her teenage years, where she discovered the true power of silence and going inward.

She has always had a deep interest in spirituality and the power of the mind. She strongly believes that “we are what we think” which is why she feels our thoughts can make or break us.

By the age of 19, she became a certified practitioner in the healing art of Reiki and then went on to become an accredited Reiki master with more than 15 years of experience. Jojo not only worked with humans to alleviate their stress levels and various ailments but alsowith horses and their injuries.

She is a resident columnist at The Star newspaper as well as the author of “Jojo Struys’s Guide to Wellness”. When she’s not meditating or teaching, she is writing and hosting her own television shows, including ‘Jojo’s Diary of Asia’ on Discovery Channel Asia, as well as sharing her deep love for travel through her vignettes on Go Asean Malaysia.

She is the therapeutic voice and creator of Malaysia’s first home-grown guided audio relaxation series entitled, “Letting Go with Jojo Struys” to help people let go of stress and become more mentally positive.

As a government accredited HRDF corporate trainer and speaker, she has also trained several MNC companies on the topic of stress management and achieving a work-life balance including learning numerous breathing techniques around the world to combat the effects of stress and burnout. She is also a recent graduate from the foundation course at the London College of Clinical Hypnosis(LCCH).

She is really looking forward toteaching members of public more pranayama breathing techniqiues, as well as inspiring yoga flow classes and more intimate, soulful workshops at OhanaJo Studio.


Sarah Marzuki

Sarah Marzuki grew up and lived in different parts of the world from Terengganu-Malaysia, to Nigeria, the United States, and England. Moving around as a child was exciting but it came with challenges. She turned to yoga when she was only 14 years old and it helped her become connected, mentally strong and happier. 10 years later in early 2015, she decided to do her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in London whilst working full-time as a Geophysicist in the corporate Oil & Gas world. Now after 13 years living abroad – she repatriated to get the chance to enjoy the next chapter of her life in Kuala Lumpur. Sarah’s yoga teaching style is very flowy and strong, suitable for active go-getters, with a focus on alignment and breathing, and a pinch of yogic magic philosophy to help people connect inwards and feel good!


Anuja AnanthanAnuja Ananthan is a former corporate and investment banker. She swapped the high-flying investment banking life to teach yoga. She is also a model and business and financial newsreader. Anuja has been practicing yoga since she was 19 years old, having being introduced to the practice after reading a yoga book given to her by her mother. Her initiation into dedicated practice began in 2009. Over the next few years, she gradually increased the frequency and intensity of her practice in Malaysia. She was inspired by a trip to an ashram in the Himalayas, India to pursue her yoga study and completed a pre-requisite 200-hour Yoga Teacher course to qualify as a registered Yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance under the Manasa Yoga school. Manasa yoga system, which uses different themed sequences starting with the gross, objective such as the foot, knee, spine etc through the tools of asana,taught with specific alignment instructions based on anatomical insights and pranayama. It incorporates a variety of asanas built around sun salutations, transitions from pose to pose and sustaining poses for a certain amount of breath. It is suitable for beginners as well as the seasoned yogi!
