“CURTIN LEO CHARITY RUN 2019” Terms & Conditions

Virtual Runners

1. Each Virtual runner must be using a running apps to record the distance and cannot be inserted manually. 
2. Participants are required to raun to the 15km mark from 13 April 2019 (0000 hrs) to 13 May 2019 (2359 hrs).  Total distance can be separate activities to be recorded in the running apps. 
3. All activities logged during the event period must be screenshot and submit the results through email to [email protected] by 13 May 2019 (2359 hrs).
4. A payment option is available for the Virtual Runner which entitles the user a finisher tee, finisher medal, e-cert and e-race bids.
5. Any form of entry and participation in the Event other than that described herein is void.
   • Activity should not be recorded on any motorized vehicles (motorized bicycles, e-scooters, cars, motorbikes, buses, lorries, etc). The Organiser reserves the rights to remove your activity should we find that it is suspicious at our discretion. This event is based on honour system, as the Organiser will do periodic checks on the submissions. Be true to yourself.
   • Avoid heartache and use compatible GPS Running Devices. 
   • Use of Pedometers are NOT allowed.
   • Activity should not be recorded on stationary machines as it will not count towards your virtual race effort.
   • The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Rules & Regulations at any time, at its sole discretion, without any prior notice.

Physical Runners

• In case of poor weather conditions and/or for reasons of safety, the organiser reserves the right to stop the event underway or to modify the time barriers.
• Any participant excluded from the race for any reason but wishing to continue his race can only do so after returning the bib. He/she shall do so at his/her own risk and responsibility.

1. The race is open to men and women above 12 years of age. 
2. If the participant is under 12 years of age, a parent/guardian must initial for the youth, failing which, the Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to that Participant.
3. The Organiser reserve the right to revoke any participant’s privileges if we deem them practicing unsafe action.
4. Participants will be responsible for his/her safety by having the ability and skills to deal with any problems that may be encountered during the race.
5. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the “LEO NIGHT RUN 2019” race routes as they deem fit for the safety of the Participants and/or to prevent any potential hazards in the running of the event, at any time without prior notice to the Participants. In such cases, every effort will be made to inform the Participant prior to the date of the event. The Organiser shall not be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused due to such changes.
6. Participants must wear their assigned number bib as instructed at all times during the race. Participants without the allocated bib number will not be allowed to take part in the race.
7. The Organiser reserves the right to delay the commencement of the run in the event of inclement weather. Should the inclement weather persist after the delay, the Organiser reserves the right to cancel the race without refund of registration fees.
8. The Organiser reserves the right to replace any winners if he/she is found to be disqualified. 
9. The Organiser will not be held responsible for any loss and/or damage. The Organiser also reserves the right to check any item or baggage of the Participant.
10. The Organiser reserves the right to remove any Participant deemed physically incapable of continuing with the run to prevent him/her from causing greater harm and injury to himself/herself.
11. For the safety of participants, participants are advised to run on the designated route and observe traffic regulations.
12. Every runner will be provided with a race bib which will be individually handed to him/her on producing. The race bib must be worn on the front or back of the body and must be fully visible throughout the entire race.
13. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Rules and Regulations without giving prior notification or any reasons thereof.
