Oral Cancer Research & Coordinating Centre (OCRCC), together with 18 partner agencies consisting of Ministry of Health, Professional Associations, NGOs, Public and Private Universities has taken the initiative to organise the Mouth Cancer Awareness Week (MCAW) 2020 Virtual Run/ Walk as part of the event for Mouth Cancer Awareness Week (MCAW).

MCAW is held to increase awareness among the Malaysian public on mouth cancer, its risk factors, signs and symptoms as well as early detection and preventive measures. The theme for this year’s awareness week is ‘I Am and I Will… #BeatMouthCancer’. 

The MCAW 2020 Virtual Run/ Walk challenge will cover a distance of 8km which must be done in 1 week (7 days). This event is open to all regardless of age. Feel free to run or walk at your own pace. 

So what are you waiting for… Let us all join our hands and do our part in supporting these mouth cancer patients, survivors and their families in their journey to fight and beat mouth cancer in whatever way that we can.

Step 2: click on <Upload Virtual Run Results>

Step 3: Key in your <Ticket Number>.
NOTE: The ticket number is in your e-ticket under QR Code. Refer to image below.

Step 4:  Upload your screenshot of your running proved, insert your distance then submit. If you have completed your distance, system will show 100% and hooray!

Terms and conditions

1. Mouth Cancer Awareness Week (MCAW) 2020 Virtual Run/ Walk is organized by Oral Cancer Research & Coordinating Centre (OCRCC), Faculty of Dentistry, University of Malaya and supported by Oral Health Program, Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH), Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM), Cancer Research Malaysia (CRM), Malaysian Association Dental Public Health Specialist (MADPHS), Malaysian Association For Orofacial Diseases (MAOFD), Malaysian Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (MAOMS), Malaysian Dental Association (MDA), Malaysian Dental Students’ Association (MDSA), Malaysian Private Dental Practitioners’ Association (MPDPA), Malaysian Society of Periodontology (MSP), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM), MAHSA University, National University of Malaysia (UKM), SEGi University, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), International Medical University (IMU) and Lincoln University College (“Organiser”). 
2. The virtual run/walk is open to all regardless of gender and age.
3. The purpose of this virtual run/walk is to raise awareness among the Malaysian public on mouth cancer, its risk factors, signs and symptoms as well as early detection and preventive measures. The theme for the awareness week is ‘I AM AND I WILL… #BeatMouthCancer.
4. This is an accumulative run/walk where participants can either run the 8km within a day, or run/walk for a few km a day, accumulate the evidences to a total of 8 km, which MUST be done within 7 days.
5. All participants are to ensure that all information submitted for the purpose of registration are complete and accurate.
6. Your participation is only CONFIRMED when payment of the registration fees is successfully made to Ticket2U.com.my.
7. By confirmation of payment, the participants agree to abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Organiser. 
8. All entries are NOT TRANSFERABLE, REFUNDABLE NOR DEFERRABLE.
9. Upon confirmation of participation, changes to the category or other details will not be entertained.
10. The Organiser reserves the right to limit, accept or reject any entries without prior notice and reasons.
11. The Organiser reserves the right to close entries before deadline without any notice or when the quota of the run/walk is full.
12. Participants are encouraged to post photos onto their Instagram or Facebook accounts along with the following hashtags: #BeatMouthCancer; #mcaw2020. Tag us to tell us about your virtual run experience. 
13. Participants who completed the run/walk and uploaded the evidence onto the system will be entitled to the Virtual Run/Walk medal and/or T-shirt. For those who did not upload the accumulative evidence before the deadline they need to write in to the Organiser to request for their entitlement (medal and/or t-shirt). Entitlement may be given at the discretion of the Organiser. The Organiser’s decision is final and no further correspondence will be entertained.
14. Entitlement (medal and/or t-shirt) will be shipped to participants within 4 weeks after the campaign ended via courier by the Organiser.
15. In the event that the total medal order were less than the pre-determined minimum, the Organiser may not proceed with printing of medals and hence will refund the medal cost to the participants.
16. Entitlements will be shipped directly to the registered mailing address provided by the participant during registration. Please provide an accurate mailing address. Any additional cost incurred due to the return of parcel from the courier company or failure to deliver are to be borne by the participant. 
17. In the case where participants would like to make an address change once registration has been confirmed, additional charges will be incurred.
18. The T-shirt size is strictly based on the size selected by the participant during registration, any request for size change will not be entertained.
19. If there is a return of parcel during the shipment of entitlement due to whatever reason, upon request, the Organiser will arrange to resend the parcel but the delivery charges will be borne by participants.
20. Any notice sent to the email address registered with the Organiser shall be deemed as received by the participant.
21. If the participant provides any information that is untrue, inaccurate, outdated or incomplete, or if the Organiser has grounds to believe that such information is untrue, inaccurate, outdated or incomplete, the Organiser may at any time suspend, revoke, cancel or terminate the participant's registration for the event or entitlement and fees will not be refunded.
22. The Organiser will not entertain nor be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete or inaccurate entry details in the registration form.
23. Submission of the evidence/result of the walk/run must be done before 1^st December 2020. 
24. The registered parties affirm that they have read, understood and fully agreed to the terms and waiver, and they will give up substantial rights, including the rights to sue and to release all liability to the greatest extend allowed by law.
