Struggling actor Sakurai switches identities with a stranger named Kondo who slips and falls at a bathhouse, only to find himself filling the shoes of an elite assassin in the employ of the yakuza. Japan’s master of screwball comedy Kenji Uchida marks his return after a four-year hiatus with a darkly comical tale about three seemingly disparate protagonists bound together by fate. The movie has been hailed by critics and audience alike for its cleverly constructed screenplay, for which it was honoured at the Shanghai International Film Festival, Japan Academy Prize and Kinema Junpo Awards.
