The Temple of Fine Arts (TFA) Malaysia, established in 1981 by Swami Shantanand Saraswathi, is a non-profit cultural and educational institution dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and propagation of Indian classical arts and culture. Guided by the belief that the arts enrich lives and build communities, TFA provides a nurturing space where creativity, discipline, and cultural appreciation thrive.
Over the years, TFA has evolved into a renowned centre for artistic excellence with branches across Malaysia and abroad. It offers structured training in Bharata Natyam, Odissi, Kathak, Carnatic and Hindustani music, percussion, theatre, and visual arts, empowering students to pursue artistic mastery while developing a sense of purpose and service through the arts.
TFA’s ecosystem extends beyond its classrooms. Through initiatives such as Annalakshmi Vegetarian Restaurant, Lavanya Arts Boutique, Hamsa Vahini Tours & Travels, and the Shantanand Auditorium, the institution sustains its artistic mission while promoting creativity, culture, and community engagement.
As the organiser of the Shantanand Festival of Arts (SFA), TFA celebrates the diversity and vitality of the performing arts. The festival’s objective is to bring artists and audiences together to experience the transformative power of the arts, encourage cultural dialogue, and inspire collective appreciation for artistic expression.
With over four decades of service, the Temple of Fine Arts Malaysia continues to be a dynamic platform that celebrates heritage, nurtures talent, and uplifts humanity through the universal language of the arts.
